What are some /fa/ approved watches?

>Miyota Movement
>No spec on glass (meaning it is mineral glass)
If /fa/ is all about the lowest quality possible in a watch then yes.
this is approved

hey what's wrong with Miyota?
>>11449552
There is nothing wrong with a Miyota per se.
But it is no secret that the Miyota 2025 is the absolut cheapest quartz movement in existence on the entire planet.
It also lacks the power saving mechanism most swiss quartz movements have which drastically increases battery life from around 2 years up to 10 years.

ah, I own a watch with an automatic Miyota mechanism and I'm quite content with it, shitty quartz is shitty though

As said before, Miyota is a trusted workhorse and there's a reason it is the most used quartz ever.
It is however not superbly funny reading that old "Japanese Quartz" time and time again. Especially when the Miyota watches can range from 240 - 80 USD.

You're right, that's definitely the lowest tier of Miyota movement. And it retails publicly for $4.95 to the public with a two hand movement and terrible battery life.
Not to mention the cheap mineral class they put in for a $200+ Void watch that has a cheap nylon band, presumably poor overall build if they are going for the lowest possible price point in production. There are also probably parts produced and largely assembled in China. Putting it in a similar tier next to Daniel Wellington watches that use cheap movements and materials, and are produced in China in bulk and then sold for a highly inflated cost.
Given the fact that this specific movement retails for a 1/4th of the price compared to a Miyota movement using on a $250 citizen, I think we can surmise that they don't really care about building something of a higher quality.
I mean, fuck, these watches are retailing for over $185.... starting at $185... going up to $450. There are so many better watches to get for as low as $75.
