You do realize when you end up doing skin care routines that are Patrick Bateman-tier, you end up either doing a lot of redundant shit or sometimes make things worse, right?

true that it would stop oil production, I have good skin otherwise though so I wouldn't fuck with it. I don't break out at all, just have clogged pores

There are serums designed to shrink pores. Can't speak for their effectiveness, but I've seen them while buying other stuff. Maybe look into those?

Don't use bar soap on your face. I've had shitty experiences with pore strips, and I've heard lots of mixed feelings on them. Maybe skip it and exfoliate every few days. Also why are you not using a cleanser. Generally a good first step.

I use cetaphil in the shower every day, does a decent job. My idea behind the bar soap for this routine is that it would strip all oil from my face, offering better contact for the pore strip and mud mask. What do you mean by cleanser? Does cetaphil have me covered?

ok first of all, don't use bar soap as others have said, and don't wash your face with hot water. just use a gentle cleanser that doesn't make you oily/clog your pores, cetaphil should be fine. a clay mask once or twice a week should be good, but avoid using pore strips too often. also find a more gentle toner that's good for oily skin/clogged pores instead of using an astringent. keep moisturizing bc your skin might be overproducing oil due to dehydration. also, I would recommend trying a BHA exfoliant in a 2% or 4% concentration depending on how sensitive your skin is, bc they are really good for unclogging pores and controlling oil. I use a 2% BHA by paula's choice and it works really well.

hi guys model anon here thought i'd share my routine as i have 0 spots, don't get any spots and cos i travel a lot dont really get to bring fancy expensive shit with me

i just have a scottish shower. Hot, exfoliate with something with the lil beads in, then when i wanna get out i turn it freezing cold and shower cold for a bit. Sounds disgusting but it'll put a smile on your face when you leave the shower because of the adrenaline, and no spots (also it feels amazing and is really good for you)
