What items develop a patina and look better with age?
I love pieces that last a long time and develop their own unique and individual look as they age with the movements and habits of their owner.
Bonus points for photos of things you own.

Leather

lmao wabo sabo xD
Natural leather tends to develop a very nice patina. Bout as long as raw denim. Goes from offwhite to orange to a rich tan. Belts, wallets, watch straps are the main natural leather commodity.

why bother with this if you can just buy this exact same kind of fading pre-faded?
>>11284771
artificial prefading is pretty much always super obvious, no matter how they treat it. only way to get truly authentic looking fades is to buy used or wear them in yourself.
>>11284771
the fades are specific to the wearer

This is a good answer.
Here's all my white beaters

nice memes bro

Like 10 years ago they used to just paint the jeans this dirty yellow color on the thighs and call it distressed

Memes are memes for a reason. Stan's are versatile, comfortable and last surprisingly long for a mass market sneaker. The Jack Purcell's sole fell apart a long time ago but the Stan's are still going strong

pretty much nothing is going to match the raws faded perfectly to your body. There are some good pre faded jeans(nudie) out there you just have to find them. If you treat the prefaded like raws and dont wash them I bet after a few months they would get pretty close to how faded raw denim looks
