Personally I'd say that looks a bit high, at least compared to what I've seen before, (note: I don't wear socks/jeans like that so opinion may be invalid.) In all seriousness though I'd say that ain't a fashion problem at all, my "artsy" or "theater" friends if you will wear socks and jeans like that a lot and they ain't gay, as far as i know. On the other hand some of my other friends would balk at wearing stuff like that.

I'm thin too but my feet are smaller so it doesn't look dispropotionate. I would recommend wearing shoes that don't make too much contrast with the socks, I usually wear white shoes with relatively light color socks and black shoes with darker colors.
