I've been working out for a while and now none of my old jeans fit well. I went around a couple of stores but every size i tried on was tight around my thighs and loose around the waist.
Some anon said that there are supposedly stretching jeans that would fit me and posted pic related.

Ive never seen anything like these anywhere, is there a specific name or characteristic im supposed to ask for the at the stores?

Well im not anywhere near his size as you can see in my shitty pic. Im so deep in dyel i cant see the light anymore. But even now i can barely move in this pair. The only solution ive found is to just wear a pair that would fit a much fatter person with a belt, but then the fabric bunches up and starts hurting when i walk around.

You want denim with a higher rise (perhaps 11 or 11.5'' if you're got substantial legs, smaller might work. Somet has what you want (Typewriter cut) and you can find similar results from labels like Studio d'Artisan, Iron Heart, LVC, etc. just check ebay or grailed

I wouldn't write off slims. Measure some pants that fit well and compare them to what you're looking at. Size for waist and thighs. If they're too wide at the hem you can have a tailor taper them.

There's some great jeans for under $200 at places like Denimio, Okayama Denim and Rakuten. Japan Blue are popular at the low end and come from the same company that makes Momotaro. Sugar Cane has really impressive build quality for the money and offers slim cuts with a higher rise.
