It's really all based on how confident the person is and how their attitude is. The weed-core fit would look terrible on me because i'm an autistic skelly but on this guy it looks "cool" (it still is subjective) because the guy is known to be funny and it seems to me he has a general dgaf attitude anyway so it just works.

At my college kids who go out of their way to dress nice look kind of tryhard so in a way dressing ironically bad (normcoreish outfits) help you look better.

Sometimes I see people dressed badly and I assume they are doing it ironically and I think that it looks alright. Then I notice that they are actually unironically dressed badly. /fa/ has messed up my fashion sense.
