Nj has atlantic city on the shore, it's sandwiched between new york and philly. It's just generally better than anywhere else ive been in the US, and ive been all over.

Union county as well Summit specifically and NJ is ok not much to do not very effay but it's pretty close to the city so you'll have somewhere to go if you're bored

The good parts of the NYC metropolitan area are pretty effay. The gentrified areas of Hoboken and Jersey City seem promising and Monmouth/Middlesex have some great cities. There are some great towns too like Red Bank and Morristown.

I live in central NJ, a region that has a literal identity crisis and is questioned as culturally distinct from north or south jersey.

Central NJ is a cultural wasteland, barren of anything but some scant individuals attempting to peek out of Dantes' circle of suburbia.

The town I live in doesn't have anything but strip malls, and Italian pizzerias. If I want anything that ain't the same,I have to drive to the next town over. Bear in mind, places like Hightstown, Cranbury and Englishtown are nice picturesque small towns with main streets that seem pretty pleasant to live in. Not like my town that consists of a loose confederation of gated communities and strip malls.
