Does /fa/ have any suggestions for sunglass brands or models?
Not aviators or wayfarers. More like a sport style one

Porsche Design
Oakley
Depends on your budget

Luxottica dominates so quality is pretty samey for a lot of brands.
I adore Maui Jim, I've had a pair for a few years that have held up like a tank. I also like oldschool Ray Bans. Simple, classic, work on most faces, easy to find at a decent price. I've heard Oliver Peoples are good, can't confirm.

If they're not exclusively for sport ID avoid polarized glasses
Make certain smart phones get a rainbow effect, looking through tinted car Windows is difficult if you live in a place like SoCal or Florida where limo tint is a must or die in a car
Some train departure signs in Japan don't show well through polarized lenses some bigger screens (new years) don't show well
And some higher end optics like eo tech don't show through polarized lenses
They're really only good for fishing
Don't wear them for cycling and walking down town
Anyone know what brand these are? I work at a glasses store and this guy dropped these off and I took them
>>11121690
>this guy dropped these off and I took them
goodbye job
>>11121690
>works at glasses store
>doesn't know glasses brand
Maison Margiela sunglasses.
>>11121717
Should have made it clear he donated them but we kept them around for like a year until I decided to put new lenses in them
>>11121815
Yeah I don't know every single brand senpai
Does anyone know a really dark pair of sunglasses? I want the lenses to be polarized but like, black frames and DARK black lenses, like that you couldn't see the eyes of the person.
what's a reasonable price for good sunglasses that will last a long time? $100? $200? Not paying for a name, that is
What kind of sunglasses for people who already wear glasses?

Never tried them but according to site theyre the same size as my RayBans RB2132. Want to get the round ones but i dont think theyd complement my face :(
im just gonna buy some oakleys on ebay fuck you guys
>>11122766
Buy the fake ones.
>>11122791
hell no man, im not wearing these for fashion, im wearing them for eye protection. im not gonna buy some fake chinese shit that isnt even UV protected
but im not a person whos gonna spend fucking $100 on a pair on sunglasses. usually i just buy the $10-15 ones from a drugstore or whatever.
>>11122766
Oakley refuses to use real lense materials because sports brand marketing hurr durr
It's the worst luxxotica brand in the hierarchy since they have the greatest distortion due to how they pour their polycarbonate into lense molds and lowest abbe value of any material ever for all glasses
>>11122828
>wont purchase polarized sunglasses
>believes drugstore ones provide any uv protection
Those fake ones are exactly $10-$15 the only reason I suggest them because even though theyre fake they knock those drugstore flimsy, glarey lens shits out of the park.
I'm using American Optical. Quality is okay but quite terrible for someting miUSA and military tested. It seems they were made for people with really big nose bridge.
persol for days.

Randolph eng is prob better than AO
>>11120541
nah
basically all sunglasses from 10 to 200 bucks have same UV filters
>>11123159
Small shit hurts the eyes though like on the back of most real brand sunglasses having AR coating
And the cheaper glasses tend to have weaker tint - strain
And the super cheap glasses only come in yellow/amber/blue tints which tend to make most people sick
Got these a little while ago.
>>11122844
Just go buy poly polarized lenses. Most stock lenses that come with sunglasses aren't that good anyway
>>11119188
Fendi or Dior
just copped pic related, they're great look just like raybando's w/out being ray bands
>>11123957
