I'm a pretty fit guy and so I get complemented on basically whatever I wear. Most guys who work out are notorious for being either hypebeasts, dressing like douchebags, or just not giving a shit. I almost did the same thing. The key to getting into /thateffaylife/ is lurking in a bunch of inspo threads and checking out different styles, to see what works for you. Then go through kind of a beta testing phase where you buy cheap versions of the clothes you think you like, and once you've confirmed that you've found a style you enjoy, then go into the expensive and high quality things.

I've been going on a huge Undercover spree for no other reason than they seem to be the best brand in general, but I've yet to shell out over $140 for any piece. I fear for when I'll want a big statement piece that I'll have to pay a sizable chunk of my salary (I work part time as a college student), and I hate that the biggest piece I'm about to buy is a Uniqlo collab, it feels impure compared to paying $200 for a pure Undercover piece
