Hey guys I need a new pair of laces for my geobaskets, I'm looking for the same exact creamish thick laces; just a new pair, where can I go about getting some?
>>
Y'all are clinging to this danni thing way too hard.

>>10986606
No idea on the laces, that's one of the biggest problems I thin ROG has. Lot's of people say to check out hockey laces. Is that a margiela wallet?
>>
Why do I see some ramones with seven eyelets and some with eight? Did Rick switch it up one season or is that a mainline/drkshdw thing?
>>
why hasnt anyone called a store and just straight up asked to buy some

>>
>>10986858
>why hasnt

*has

Yeah, Apparently they don't sell them separately to discourage people from getting authentic laces to make their fakes more convincing, as the laces are pretty often a giveaway.

Around here "UC" is usually unstable cotton

>>10987340
This is from last thread, but I'm wearing plokhov x Uniqlo sweatpants. I wear the double layer with black jeans occasionally, but the single layers don't stack very well on slim jeans and just usually end up like a dress. You don't really have to match brand names as much as you do proportions and aesthetics, but there's hundreds of companies that make pants that will go well with rick shirts.

Level tees fit oversized and long. It's more of a dress desu. Cop the DL senpai.

The 'Level' detailing on tee's is the horizontal seam at collarbone height.

Has there ever been a fit, outside of rick himself, where ramones boots actually work and the fit wouldn't be improved by a different shoe?

The card hang-tag says Milk, and I would assume O&M have better quality control than that.

Also the last pic is completely wrong
>>
>>10989402
Dyed... You mean bleached, since it would be from red to white. I think that would be quite difficult.

>>10989405
You're right that it's not a double layer. And the hang tag is certainly different. I ~still~ think the tee is real; only the inside tag is wrong for some reason.

>>10991219
All of my friends are normies and only one has any idea who Rick is.No one gives a shit about my clothes because I act like a normal fucking person. It just so happens that I look 'different'. If I'm going clubbing or surfing college bars, I'll ditch Rick for something that's a little more personable and less off-putting. If it's a house party I'm going to, I'll dress full Rick without a problem. I don't have any of the louder pieces (it's too hot to wear them around here anyway) so people don't treat me differently. Every once in a while, people (especially girls) will ask about what I'm wearing and I don't make a big production out of it.
>>
>>10991235

i don't really have anything prepared, when i get asked i waver between going full on nerd about rick to downplaying it to just "it's rick owens" but then saying one or two uncessary added things about me liking it a lot or something they didn't need to hear

Nah
Unstable refers to the back seam that is "twisted"

I'm a 42 senpai

Feet bigger than this look awkward as fuck and you know it. No need to be upset
>>
>>10991886
>>10991903

Unstable refers to the material used. An unstable tee will have the product code /UC, which stands for unstable cotton.

>>10991861
Searching for an old product code like this is always hit and miss as A) the items in question are not readily available, and B) retailers don't sell that stuff anymore. Googling a newer iteration product code (RUXXXXXXXX /XX) will bring up pictures of the garment, as that's how retailers tend to list them now on their sites.

>>
>>10991848
They don't actually stay their full length on you, they're meant to kind of drape around your hips. I would check that its slim enough to do so, but otherwise the length won't be an issue!
>>
>>10991926
Rick's standard long tee mostly comes in two fabrics, the silk/viscose and the unstable cotton (also bamboo, but that isn't as common). UC is identifiable by the curved back seam.

The shirts themselves can be single or double layer

Two fabrics, two layer options. So there's 4 types of shirts. Unstable cotton double layer is kind of the most sought after DL, so that's why you'll see them mentioned together so often.
>>
>>10991948
There is 100% silk tees as well I think.

I also forgot about the /JS double layers, but they aren't as characteristic as the /UC ones as they don't tend to ripple as much
>>
>>10991921
I'm the guy who asked >>10991848
Thanks for legit checking for me, appreciate it. I've been looking for a double layer but maybe this will tide me over until I find one. The seller is asking $60, do you think that's a good deal?
Also he's selling pic related as well, for $35. Should I cop?

>>10991963
Oh yeah! I think JS and UC are just the two options I see most often/throughout all seasons. I'm wondering if since the JS doubles aren't "unstable", do they not twist the fabric layers? You can see a very distinct twist in UC ones, but I've never handled a JS to know. It would explain the subtler stackage.
>>
>>10991972
>>10991963

JS double layers have a different pattern from UC, just like the single layers. They don't twist at all.
>>
>>10991969
Those are really good prices, providing they're in good condition. Limo is on the older end of seasons, but it's not outrageously old. If you don't buy that sleeveless link me :)
>>
>>10991969
Don't just cop cause they're cheap - that's how regret happens. We've all been there.

The single layer /UC tees are great, I have one from Vicious that's still a major staple in my wardrobe. Not sure on pricing second hand though, depends on condition and if its marked at all. I've seen them sell for $70ish though. Nahk is probably the best dude to ask vis-à-vis current market pricing

>>10991972
Not sure, I've never handled a /JS double layer in real life. But I would be interested to know aswell.
>>
>>10991983
Ah that was a quick answer kek

Interesting, to be quite honest I'm not sure why you would fork out for a /JS double layer then.

the /JS fabric is pretty damn comfy though.
>>
>>10991922
HAHAHAHAHA
>>
>>10991989
Yeah I wanted to get opinions on unstable tees, the price was simply what got me.

I'm only asking for the sleeveless because the seller offered to sell both to me for $85 so I'm wondering if I could layer both together and not look like a tool.
>>
>>10992002
Wouldn't recommend layering them together, but separately sure they'll look good.
>>
>>10992002

You could try layering them together. The UC tees are basically made for layering. Not sure about those color but I'm a pretty monochrome guy.

The JS double layers are very nice. Clean and sharp. The cyclops ones just came in at Totokaelo, been thinking about copping if I can find the right price.

/LPO (Oiled Calf) is a great choice for pretty much all footwear, but it's a choice thing.

Some people like the Deer stuff, some like grained ect ect.

Island dunks wise I think the reversed ones are the best by far, never been a fan of the pony hair stuff myself.

>>10992487
Yeah youre right i just dont have the money to afford sneakers that wear off so quickly. If i had the cash i would wear nothing but rick shoes who doesnt? I was just saying that as a student af1s are a pretty good alternative. Obviously the design and materials dont mach up to 1000$ shoes
You know when i had my geos i was always afraid of wearing them too much and the af1s i can use as stylish beaters and get new ones if they wear off. Replacing shoes that cost a paycheck is just a different story
>>
>>10992619
Just never touched any of the leathers irl so dont know the difference!
>>
>>10992756
I get what you're saying but I disagree that Rick shoes wear out super fast. I'd even argue that saving up and buying Rick shoes is a better investment than buying your $70 beaters every so often.

& besides say for example you did wear geos constantly and started getting heel drag and sole issues, people don't buy new geos out right, they just get the sole redone.
>>
>tfw will never own Tech Runners because I can never find them in my price-range
>>
Damn Richard

Back at it again with the white geos
>>
>>10992823
They're not the hardest and most durable of soles, and they're much better than the old school dunks.

I still don't see how people practically manage to completely round the bottoms of their shoes so quickly. They either don't fit properly so you have heel slip, or you must have a really odd gait.

Some of the stuff on Grailed looks like its seen the wrong end of a belt sander.
>>
>>10992756
Wait what? Who said geos don't hold up? Or Rick shoes in general?

I own 6 year old Rick shoes that could pass as very lightly used. They hold up incredibly, unless you are planning on really putting them through the ringer.

You don't have to walk on eggshells with them either, I walk through the same shit in my ramones as I do my nikes. Stop giving a fuck, and stop backpedaling.

Also lastly, student here too. I'm barely able to keep myself in shcool but I still buy myself pieces every now and then by careful planning and hard work. It's like a treat to myself to keep me motivated. You just have to ne careful and live within your means. I probably make alot less than you if one paycheck is a pair of Rick shoes.

I have this problem. I'm asked frequently where I got X piece by normies and I usually just say "the Internet" because honestly I've had so many awkward conversations where I've actually answered truthfully and the conversation falls flat, especially when you start bringing up designer names. The person obviously doesn't really care enough to follow up typically.
I have had a few people chase me down to ask me about my white tech runners, one was a mom and I told her they were adidas by a designer named Rick Owens. She wrote it all down and was like "I would like to get those for my son!" I was just like "yah you totally should!" but in my head I'm thinking "oh god I would love to see this lady's face when she goes home and googles this"

The other day I had an attractive young girl at one of the local pizza joints ask me about my Nilos hoodie, she thought it was really cool and was prying me with questions. At one point she asked "is it expensive" to which I replied "yes" and that was pretty much the end of the conversation because fuck me for spending lots of money on clothing right.

The leather ones are worth splurging out for imo. When people say they last "forever," they're not completely joking :)

There's nothing wrong with the canvas ramones and a lot of people do have them. But you are right that the canvas will wear over time. And also, I don't find that it ages that attractively. They end up looking like old converses almost.

I'm having a bit of a dilemma with these pants.
One half of me thinks that they're completely fine, nothing being wrong with them, but there's always been part of me that feels that there's something off about them.
As a result I don't wear them as much as I could and I always doubt how well they work into the rest of what I'm wearing when I do.

Very relevant information here. I find the more I am interested in clothing the more that normies only care about a monetary value attatched to a piece. I really hate saying how much I spent on something because people do not understand and will either assume I am rich or assume I am shallow. Many times people will refer to an item by its dollar value and not what makes the piece rare/sought after. It is deeply saddening and I suppose that you should only reply to people's questions about your clothing if they are genuinely serious. It is no use trying to describe who designs your clothes, their pricepoint, or where their country of origin is from. I enjoy the simple answer of "from the internet". Thats a good one.

Yeah, its 50/50 living in the states vs living in the EU I guess.

Though you are probably better off in the states thinking about it, our tax on items is really high (20%.....) which you get deducted if you buy from EU stores, then you just pay the US import tax.

I'm actually coming to your neck of the woods in April, and then onward towards the far east - planning on picking up some stuff if I can find what I want for the right price, and then hopefully not pay any customs on it when I bring it home lmao.

Flying to Seattle (any good hostels?) then going Vancouver for a bit. Got a rough idea of where I'm going but I can kinda just go as and where I please for about 5 weeks as I'm off work. Probably go over to Korea and China as well.

There are a few hostels downtown and by the market, as well as a really nice one in Fremont. I would recommend air bnb too. You can find plenty for cheap this time of year. Hit me up when you're looking for lodging, I'll tell you what neighborhoods are best

Thanks man, that's great! I only briefly looked at places to stay to get a price idea so I'm pretty open to stay anywhere

I'm pretty sure I've always seen these in a fit where something else would've been better.
