>>10982196
i mean shit, your taste in jazz is pretty decent otherwise but that album is so forgetable and not even close to one of Mingus' best.
What do you like abot it so much?
angst is effay
you guys are so young and impressionable
everything they say about fashion is true

cool but i hate the strokes with a passion :^(
These are going to be horrible.
/fa/ is too vane to enjoy something for the sake of enjoying it. All you people care about is appearances, not substance.
On topic, my top 5 are, in no order,
>Matt Elliott ~ Drinking Songs
>Bennie Maupin ~ The Jewel In The Lotus
>Bill Evans Trio ~ Waltz For Debby
>Jackie-O Motherfucker ~ Flags Of The Sacred Harp
>Animal Collective ~ Feels
>>10982271
>Lilys
Yes! Love them
>>10982305
i enjoy the smiths because jangle pop is one of my favorite genres you monk
what is your favorite song from feels? mine is flash canoe
>>10982152
excellent taste confirmed
I hope that you also enjoy the other obscure E6 releases
>>10982311
Loch Raven makes me hard, Flesh Canoe is my least favorite. I think it's cause I usually put that album on while tripping and Flesh Canoe freaks me out for some reason.
>>10982305

>I Think this is some effay stuff
>fuck am I basic?
Off of this thread.
All the is smoking effay threads.
All the what drugs are effay threads.
All the facial aesthetics.
The fact that this is literally a board about appearances.
/fa/ is a vane and self obsessed place. Saying otherwise would be lying to yourself.
Portishead's Dummy and Bloc Party's Silent Alarm are close contenders.
>>10982367
so then by your logic, you posting your favourite songs in here must just be you trying to impress other people and don't actually enjoy what you're listening to?
yes ofc /fa/ is trying to impress certain people, just like anyone who takes pride in their appearance, but that doesn't mean they can't enjoy it at the same time
people on here wouldn't be spending thousands of dollars on weird designer clothing if they didn't enjoy it somewhat
Ceremony - Still nothing moves you

>>10982570
Big guy for you (^;
In threads like this I generally post Rad Cult affiliated groups/musicians such as Black Moth Super Rainbow, Tobacco, Demon Queen, High Tides and Zackey Force Funk.
However, Heroes Are Hard To Find by Fleetwood Mac might be the album I listen to the most. I see this as a 10/10, next to Congratulations by MGMT and Fleet Foxes self titled album. But I listen to Heroes Are Hard To Find over and over again and get as much, if not, more, enjoyment out of it as I did the first time I had listened to it.
>>10982030

>>10982030

good picks
I consider music to be art when it can elicit a strong emotional response from the listener, the stronger and the more profound this response the objectively better I rank the music. Few albums have been able to consistently bring out my emotions in sucessively greater magnitudes than street runnaz 39. I have yet to see a better piece of art period let alone a btter piece of music.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

>>10985464
their first 2 releases are god tier. best current bank pund
I don't even like rap, but this is probably the best hip hop album ever and one of the best ever
Discovery by Daft Punk
Morison hotel by The Doors
Also what's up with everyone hyping Pink Floyd?
>>10989745
Holy shit is this bait? Or are you this entry lvl?
>>10989745
literally me when i was 14
btw, you will one day realize:
--Homework is better than Discovery, and Alive 2007 is their only other good album
--the Doors fucking suck
--Pink Floyd actually made some great records, in particular Meddle, Wish You Were Here, and Animals
>>10989745
Well, I'm not a rap fan really, it's a favourite of mine for others reasons then purely the music, I find the members of wu tang clan very relatable and a friend of mine use to play it habitually
Discovery I need not talk about
The doors in general are good, guess I just had to fire of there most famous because I couldn't decide
The clash, the police, joy divison and some local artist im more into but they haven't made great albums
I'm more into literature anyway, I have a more refined and patrician taste in that aspect
>>10989759
>>10989783
Meant for you cunny
>>10989779
Nah, Discovery is the best actual studio album.
Alive 2007 is one of the best of all time if you include it as a regular album, those fuckers literally changed how music and love shows were done, they had to have a super computer built. I like discovery so much mainly for nostalgia, discovery changed electronic music
I like the doors, Morrison dying just fits the whole artistic narrative
>>10989385
>>10989385

I really like this album. definitely one of my favorites.
heres a song from the album.

Jenny death ended up being good but this is their magnum opus. Perfect album.
>>10990453
donuts, cosmogramma, the list goes on
I don't even care about "plunderphonics", I'm just pointing out that liking entry level /mu/core /=/ patrician
>>10990453
literally any early vaporwave
>>10990438
hey friend :)
>>10991693
no way in hell NOTM is their magnum opus ...
>>10991716
Every one of their other albums is excellent too but none of them are perfect. There's literally not a moment on the entire album that's bad. Money Store has some sour tracks like Fuck That, exmilitary as well. government plates is a bit too short and doesn't have enough Zach or Ride, NLDW is probably closest second to NOTM.
>>10982086
bait?
>>10991716
yes it is
>>10991696
>the list goes on
nice meme
>donuts, cosmogramma
but this is entry level sub /mu/core, faggot
>>10991721
government plates is in my opinion perfectly executed, although it doesn't fit the standard expectation of a 'perfect' album according to proportion
>inb4 le vaporwave meme
this album doesn't really sound like anything that vaporwave turned into and is more of just a beautiful experimental piece
