i have something similar. i live on an island. all i get is fucking wind. any reccomendations on product? mine is a tiny bit longer on the sides. I use some really good product but it doesn't get that soft looking texture.

Actually it's not really a style that's supposed to be "maintained" in the same way that a structured, lifted up style is. It's textured, a little messy and stays down no matter what (though never exactly in the same way all the time if something makes it move). If it stops looking like you want too or is too messy/goofy looking after some wind, just run your hand through your hair quickly, it's not like it's going to stick up on its own.
Styles like these aren't supposed to look exactly like x or y, it's okay if they evolve through the day. That's the whole appeal of low hold products, sea salt sprays, etc
