I've never understood the logic behind covering scars with tattoos to hide them. to start with, when scars get old enough they should pretty much blend with your skin tone although they will be raised. that's how mine are. if a person was looking at your arm in passing they probably wouldn't notice.

If you tried that and it's not doing what you need it to, a tattoo is a great way to cover scars.

First thing to consider when getting a tattoo is the subject matter. Do you want it cause it's a beautiful art peice or is it a momento or a tribute? There's absolutely nothing wrong with getting a tattoo cause it looks cool and you like the art just remember your tast may change and you'll hate how much of a faggot you'll look like with some dumb ass hipster tattoo. Make sure it's a style that you actually like and something you don't mind looking at all the time basically until your either blind from lurking in the bright light of your computer monitor in your parents basement or die from binge drinking Mnt. and i have these, which i just recently got. protip: if you're going to get really thick, bold black art, just make sure the person specializes in blackwork/traditional, because often, they know what ink to use (i didn't think it mattered, but the flower and a few others i got from that guy look dark dark dark black and it's to the point where i'm going to have him go over my existing ones), which needles, etc to make the boldest, longest lasting color. anyway, more of mine.

Trust me when I say that this WON'T look good as a tattoo. Think about it for a second, on paper it looks good because of the neat curve and the texture, but on skin you can't recreate the texture and the curve will move with your body and look crooked all the time.
