re-asking from the previous thread, how do i go about paying my customs fees? am i supposed to call UPS brokerage department or something
first time paying any kind of import fees in US for me so im a little lost. :/
google wasn't all that helpful either.

>>10858475
did you not pay for them in completing your order on the website? if not you can pay at the door with a check. ups doesn't accept cash or cards at the door. also you can call them.
>>10858498
Sometimes they ask for customs fees after the package has been delivered.
got my pants today. easy astaires, idk if they're any different from regular astaires.
>>10858381
we don't know the name of the mens collection do we?

>>10858498
>>10858501
the tracking status on my item states: 'The receiver must pay the duties or taxes due on the package.'
and i'd rather avoid paying the mailman using a check bc i won't be home at the time that it was supposed to be delivered. additionally, the delivery date went from wednesday to N/A bc i have to pay the custom fees. so do i just call the brokerage department?

where can I get some brown camo cargo RO?
not the shorts
>>10859245
IIRC camo stuff was all done mostly in 2013, although I've seen some with 2014 product codes. At this point you might be stuck waiting for eBay/grailed or some other consignment place to turn up gold!
>>10858832
if you can't be home, you can choose online to pick up the package at a UPS location. they let you pay with debit there too.
>>10858498
that's odd, i've had ups stickers that said they can't be for with cash. there was a sign at the UPS place that said the same thing when i picked up my package. maybe the rules are different in the states

No, have you seen >>10859521
and >>10859489 ? It looks great!
>>10859558
It looks ridiculous if you're still stuck judging things as "normal" relative to what everyone else wears. But that's kinda counter-intuitive to the whole Rick thing. I'm a huge fan, I love how it looks.
how do the island dunks size, similar to geobaskets?
pic unrelated, but a grail of mine from wishbone.

Are mainline ramones worth it?
Found a pair of those waxed cotton/nylon? or some shit drkshdw lows for $380CAD that I'm really tempted to get. Not sure if I should just grab those or wait for SSENSE to have a sale and hope I can grab the mainlines for like 500-700.
Also w2c jersey cotton pods in S or maybe M everywhere's sold out :"^)
>>10860073
I like my canvas ramones because I can put them through hell without worrying about damaging them too much, but I like my leather Geos because it's a much nicer looking material and ages well if you don't fuck it up. I guess it depends on what you're looking for, I use my ramones for concerts/general beater shoes, but I would be a little more hesitant if they were leather.
Also, that waxed canvas should age really nice. I haven't seen any beat up pictures but waxed fabrics are always sick.
>>10860083
i beat the fuck out of my mainline ramones, they look better beat up anyways. theres a difference between beating up and destroying btw. >>10860073
main question: do you like leather, or are you fine with nylon/canvas? i picked mainline ramones bc they look better imo
Does anybody have any experience with the Goodyear Flex boots? I am very interested in getting a pair. Thanks in advance!

>>10861011
I started laughing within an instant of seeing these. They're fake as shit.
>>10861159
On second thought, they may be real. It was the grained leather and comically short length that made me suspicious, but seeing as they're from the women's line it makes sense.
>>10859521
:-)
>>10860282
Nooooo. You could have copped drkshdw for 170 odd euros from ln-cc two weeks ago.
>>10861011
Fakes. Leather and shape are gross. The Chinese have learned how to make the sole but not the proportions and the toe cap. The zipper looks shitty too.
>>10861681
I may have judged too soon. I don't know anything about women's ramones. Also too lazy to pull up mine and inspect the Rick patch. I have handled them in a shop and I don't remember them looking flimsy but maybe the photos are weird.

Does this help?
Thanks by the way.
>>10861737
Im pretty sure they're real.
Glad to see rog has some female posters aswell
>>10861737
Definitely real. The leather looks a little plasticky in the other photos, but with how it's bending in that photo it actually looks pretty good quality. Letter font and placement is consistent with the two pairs of 2015 footwear I have (one SS and one FW).

My instinct is to say they're fake.
>>10861791
I don't know actually. I thought zips ended at vent holes but seems the newer ones go right to the soles. I thought the Rick tongue tag looked like it lacked a bit of shine too.
Ask for more photos.
How much are they listed for?
What kind of coats do y'all wear with your shit? I love the old motorcycle jackets like Barbour's international but it most likely looks shit paired with more flowy Rick-style shit.
I remember the only time anything Rick Owens has ever been sold in a store in my small city (I usually buy resale off grailed or go on trips to the nearest big city to try on/buy anything more expensive than like CP's or Norse) and it was my local Winners (a version of TJ Maxx in Canada). Found the S/S 13 Island Bomber marked from $1600 CDN to $800 CDN or something like that. All the employees were amazed by it and every pleb who saw it in the store gaffed at the price tag. Would've bought it if the inside wasn't defaced by employees writing on it and shitty store tags
>>10861837
Zips on my '15 ramones stop right at the sole. Also, my legit items always have a less shiny tag than any of the fakes I've seen - and those ones match my ramones perfectly in terms of size, stitching, and color.
>>10861849
I wear a Rick leather, which of course flows really well with all of it, but it's nothing too wild. It's an intarsia, which has a high funnel neck but overall is just a straight zip, basic leather. He makes some standard motorcycle jackets that flow well with the look, but they have to be a pretty slim profile to really go well.
>>10861849
Actually, just checked what a Barbour international looks like - not the motorcycle jacket I was picturing. I would say those definitely aren't right for the Rick look. Not really streamlined and a little too overdesigned.

Winners is actually a pretty sweet store. Most of the time I go there I see something cool. You have to look through piles of garbage to find something great for a decent price.

anyone know where i could get a replacement drawstring?
I took mine out my trousers to clean and i cant seem to find it.
Grabbed a pretty dirty pair of all white Dunks recently and I'm wondering how I should clean them. Should I use a cleaner like Jason Markk, or should I get it professionally done? I've heard good things about Jason Markk but there's a lot of water and moisture involved and I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be with a ton of liquid being absorbed into my Dunks. At the same time, however, I noticed that cobblers tend to be a lot rougher and use much harsher cleaners and brushes, and I don't want to pay to get my shoes fucked up. Has anyone had prior experiences with cleaning up Ricks with cleaners like Jason Markk, and is it a good idea?
>>10863691
Get Lexol for the leather. It's the best cleaning I've had and I use it on a lot of veg tan leather, which is much more susceptible to water damage than chrome tanned sneaker leather. You could soak those things and not really have to worry about it, but lexol isn't super liquid heavy. Pretty good for cleaning rubber soles if needed, but something like magic eraser will do a better job.

AND THEY BLAME IT ON MARYLYN
Mastodon. Oh boy. This collection is really... hard.
The JNCO jeans can fuck off. The shearling and mohair are used in interesting ways but either utterly unwearable or in cringe cropped Squall Leonhart jackets. The adidas collab shoes that I can see appear to be inline with Rick's oversized sole silhouette he's so famous for, but those other whimpy tennis shoes (hidden under the massive jeans) create cognitive dissonance for me. In fact, both seem like odd choices. The Shell toe pair are ripe with adidas branding which I appreciate how minimal it's been including in previous collections.
There are a couple of fits I enjoyed (look 9 iirc) and see wearing, but I don't believe I'm alone in thinking those oversized bottoms are not going to see wear. It's funny when a piece is so heavily included in a show but doesn't really make it onto buylists. I realize it's all part of the 'Mastodon' look but I feel it's an important part of the look that he's attempting to sell so it can't simply be ignored as "part of the show." The 'Sphinx' looks were very directional, progressive, wearable - It's easier to sell oversized coats than oversized bottoms to men though (people are much more flattering when accentuating their natural body shape, i.e. men and their shoulders).
Anyway look 9 is a typical Rick silhouette - long tunic like top, some sort of obscured short, oversized trainers, sharp overcoat - maybe that's why I like it. Maybe I'm boring; I was just hoping for more of the Rick silhouette pushed into tailored clothing. I want 'Sphinx' meets 'Gleam' but that's dumb, I'm not a designer, I don't know what will be ~next~. However, I don't think this is it, and I think this collection is one of my least favorites from PFW so far as well as one of Rick's worst.

http://www.highsnobiety.com/2016/01/20/jera-diarc-rick-owens-muse-interview/
jera is a bit of a dickhead for doing this interview at almost the same time as the show
>>10865055
It's up on his sight now! I couldn't find a full stream but nowfashion had a five minute video.
>>10865059
I'm probably biased because I'm a giant Rick fanboy, but I hate the way this guy talks.
>>10858432
where do i watch this
>>10865020
As a silhouette, it's incredibly feminine. Probably why they chose that model (who looks like young Mick Jagger, I've seen him a lot lately). I'm not into the color palette.
One of the reasons I got into Rick was for his slim tops. His long sleeves have always been flattering, fit well on my long monkey arms. I'm glad to see this jacket has that signature cut of his, but I dislike cropped jackets, especially with his super long arms. Makes the cut appear a lil too feminine for me. That and the fur color bring it over the edge of what I consider to be too feminine. I appreciate gender bending, but I'm speaking personally.
The tunic is literally a cargo dress. So, see above.
The shoes and socks are my favorite non black Rick color, Pearl, I believe. I could see the shoes getting a lot of wear, but I hate branding. I personally won't be wearing them as long as the tongue is that noticeable.
Overall I just don't care about this collection, despite my criticisms. I see the inspiration but I don't buy it and it's certainly not for me, nor does it display any of the reasons I like Rick. Soooo I'm just going to ignore it and get hype for Julius.
>>10865059
He sounds more pretentious than Rick.
>>10865123
I like Rick because he doesn't sound pretentious at all. He seems like a really approachable and casual guy from what I've seen in his interviews.
At least some of the tops were good.
>>10865123
It's not hard to sound more pretentious than Rick, he's a refreshingly down to earth person given his place in the world.
I highly recommend if anybody here reads that high snobiety article to ignore the foreword written by HS. It's hyperbolic and simply poorly written. Skip to the interview.
The interview itself was good in my opinion. Fuck the press that just want some story and all these answers laid out for them. They want gossip and dirt, Jera handled that gracefully.

I really liked them actually
Not that big of a fan of the loud branding compared to earlier adidas collabs and the shelltoe but I could see myself getting a pair.
>>10865719
I love Rick for his consistency and very refined aesthetic. This collection is so wildly different than anything he's done since his early collections, yet it still feels so very Rick. At the risk of sounding like a philistine, it appears to be his take on a 90's hot topic goth lux collection. There are stylists out there who show that aesthetic off well, like Mauricio Nardi, but with Rick I'm conflicted... I'm not such a Rick fanboi that I like everything he makes, though I can appreciate it.
Also the shoes are whack. Especially the obscured Stan Smith-esque pair.
>>10865740
So far from mine. I'll never wear it, I know that.
Rick uniform was on point today as usual.
>>10865941
Those runners in grained leather, actual Grail.
Looked through the collection now, I fucking love it. Not feeling the shoes (or rather, they look like something out of FRUiTS! which isn't a bad thing, but I wouldn't wear em and I think they're really boring compared to all of the crazy shit he put out this season.) at all.
I wish to be buried in those fucked up mohair coats and dresses.
>>10865995
Thinking back on it, the distorted mohair hoodies are the most memorable pieces for me. Also the most fitting of the Mastodon title.
>>10865999
Yeah, those are great. I'm a huge fan of the cargo dresses and skirts, the zips remind me of CITROEN-trou for some reason and I'm feelin it.
Biggest let down for me is the bleached shit, not because it looks bad but because I've been pouring bleach on my own stuff for years and it'd feel weird buying what's essentially a DIY-tweak. Same reason I wouldn't pay for distressed jeans.
Aside from that mohair parka/mohair mess-combo, this is one of my favorite looks. You people know I love the weird shit, but this knit/these trousers are deffo on my "to buy"-list.
Please don't wear Rick Owens if you're an ugly midget.

LA store does.
Store is magnificent.
>>10865659
Can't pull that off at all.
>>10864605
I'm willing to say that any store carrying mainline will also stock shdw the hdghg, but not necessarily the other way around. At least in my experience, it doesn't really make sense to only carry mainline.
>>10866090
Why are asians so bad at pulling off rick?
>>10865659
>H&M bomber
Opinions on this?
Do you think mohair knits are going to blow up now?
>>10865009
too be fair, there has been a recent trend with designers doing wide leg pants, like jw anderson and juun.j, so to see rick experimenting with this may garner interest from crowds like that and even teh jnco crowd i guess.
honestly it will also give the bravest(and the not so brave since some people are still scared of wearing skirts.) of fashion savvy people something else to work with as well.
would love to see how they look in streetstyle pics.
as for things like pic related, yeah, it's pretty much unwearable.
also the weird stan smith/superstar hybrids do look stupid with the logo.
>>10866234
I do agree that brands like Vetements have brought this aesthetic out this season. I'm acutely aware of the popularity (I mean look at Raf's show this year) of the silhouette and I can tell it's presented in a very Rick way, I simply do not enjoy it I guess.
And the shoes in your pic bum me out more than the shell toe. I'm wondering what they are exactly. They are so obscured and I can't find any clearer pictures anywhere.

grained leather always looks cheap to me, even if I know it's good quality.
Maybe it's because every fake leather jacket uses grained leather so I just associate the leather with tackiness

I'm not a big fan of white jackets, but this is a pretty good use of one!
>>10866537
Ur on a Rick forum m8.
Personally I find it useful to distinguish whether it's a mainline take on a classic shoe (like the ramones/converse thing) Or the adaptation of a new Adidas model for the ongoing collab.
I guess you find it as a point of offense.

>>10866702
The way it is written makes it read cuntish.
>I think you mean
The person clearly referenced CPs - so I'm sure that is what they meant.
It is how it is written, rather than the information.
The irony of my pedantic reply isn't wasted on me.
ramones boots yes no? currently don't have any rick clothing but I wear fitted bottoms and drapey shirts in all black or black and white most days so I feel like they might work. thoughts?
>>10866790
Sounds a little more like a fit for regular ramones, I've always seen the boots work out much better in fits with drapier pants/full rick styling. It makes me think of this cringefest otherwise.
>>10866790
There not that easy to pull off without other rick pieces
>>10866812
>>10866907

>>10866967
He didn't make this thread. Raise your hand if you have been personally victimized by rickie and you can't cope with it like a normal adult.
>>10866954
I would say to start with a pair of pods or prisoners - they'll both work with boots and also fit pretty well into a beginner Rick wardrobe. They'd also probably be pretty tight with cropped dropcrotch trousers.
Generally just a difficult item to start with when you're rickless
Laziest collaboration yet.

you so dumb, why are you gonna cop geos if your dont even have a fucking idea about how they look? autistic and paranoid
>>10866301
>>10867258
am same height. despite people in ROG saying otherwise, rick stuff doesn't look inherently bad on people shorter than 6'2". The issues are mostly with pants/shorts, where XS isn't small enough and the drop crotches are too extreme. It's not necessarily something a tailor might be able to alter either (ie "please take in the crotch on these sweatpants" or "make everything about these shorts smaller"). A tailer would be useful for something like making the notoriously long sleeves on a leather jacket shorter.
It's really easy to fuck up a rick fit regardless of how tall you are. That said, FW16 Mastodon JNCOs will look exponentially worse on a short person.
>>10867454
5'4 wont ever work for rick, I'd say 5'8 is the minimum
these just sold for $2220.77
>>10867475
I have friends that are 5'7ish, very small frame, that pull it off well. They need to shop in the women's section for bottoms however. There are some things you just don't buy when you're short, pods being one of them. Seeing pods on people sub 5'10... Oh man they are like cropped trousers.

>>10867525
>>10867475
yeah def no pods or prisoners. I can't really think of much else that wouldn't work on someone short. Cargobaskets, and maybe some elongated tees... I don't know why ROG thinks it's impossible. Plus it's not like all the 6'4" skeletons look good squeezing into XS Intarsias like they're about to go larping.
>>10867525
yo nahk should i get the mainline ramone lows or just grab a drkshdw pair on sale for cheapsies? they'd be beaters for the most part, so not even sure if it's worth shelling out an extra couple hundred just for leather vs. cotton upper
>>10867601
and you probably look like inbred white trash
>>10866186

>>10867676
Man I don't know. I don't like Ramones lows. They hurt my feet. I always recommend going mainline, where you can. That leather will age well.
>>10866090
Would be better if they werent loin pods
>>10867676
Word on street is there isnt a huge difference for the lows its really just preference
>>10867066
that's just naughty, Rick. I like the shoe but damn if it isn't a bit too similar.
>>10867771
these are McQueen oversized sneakers btw. I suppose Rick's been doing oversized sneakers forever, but still... way too similar.
>>10867332
legit no doubt.
>>10867771
Fuck, that's what those are! Saw a picture on tumblr months ago and haven't been able to track them down.
I like these more than I thought I would. The synthetic upper is pretty solid, and the weird creasing is pretty rad and not bothersome.
>>10867771
>>10867779
The ricks are based off superstars and the mcqueens are based off stan smiths. They both have larger soles. How is this too similar? You say it like it's unoriginal for Rick to make them because of McQueen, not because they are just superstars with big soles.
i only own prisoners and soon pods, should i get a pair of sock runners? found em for a steal & last one in stock. Not sure if I should just get em or fuck it and hold out for a pair of ramone socks on sale
>>10867979
Ramon's socks on sale probably won't come around for a while, and even then they'll probably be 2 or 3 times whatever the adidas you're Lookin at at. I say go for it! They look really good with pods and prisoners.
>>10867979
I've got sock runners and in gonna get ramone socks too.

>>10866301

>>10867979

>>10868056
i mostly wear visvim and junya watanabe, but I have a pair of island dunks and was thinking I'd get some prisoners to pair with em. Cannot decide between dust or blood though. I need to make a trip to LA and see em in person.
>>10868078
>sock runners are better than ramone socks in my opinion.
CONTROVERSIAL
Wew gf just copped some cropped pants
Rick couple goals
>>10867857
I saw the McQueens first, then the Ricks. They seem to have a very similar sole. Similar design process was applied to both shoes by two different designers. The naughty Ricky thing was more of a tongue in cheek joke, he's my first goto when I'm looking for new clothes. That's all.
Help me decide senpai, should I get the mohair/wool mockneck sweater in oatmeal or black? There's a few oatmeals on grailed for $300 or so, but I prefer black. Can't find a black one anywhere for under like $400 - should I just say fuck it and get the black?
Shame rick is focusing on Adidas colabs for footwear in shows mow (apart from cyclops I guess)
Sphinx and mastodon have been iirc exclusively addidas
Just want some new rick footwear I guess, though I lived the sphinx Adidas collaboration. Mastodon footwear just looks weak
>tfw you sign for a new club wearing Rick
>>10869140
Faun was also exclusively adidas. Vicious was nearly exclusively, there were a few mainline tall boots. Moody was the last season to show no adidas and ironically they are my favorite he's produced.
>>10867650
have any of you ever been started on in public for wearing rick/looking odd?
always dressed very eccentrically even as a child and have been wearing rick and ann d for about three years
recently i realised i would be much more comfortable with an agender appearance but i have a real fear of being attacked for it - never have been before apart from verbal abuse which doesn't bother me
>>10869226

>>10869208

I do like the cyclops boots and I hope he has another ace up his sleeve regarding footwear, as the rickdidas had been slipping imo
>>10869385
have you ever owned dunks Nahk? are they as glorious as they seem?
>>10869902
I've never owned dunks. I think they are cool, but I wouldn't wear them and wouldn't pay anywhere near the prices being asked for them because of it. Having handled them I will say they are what you expect from Rick sneakers. I like the look of the sole but it does leave a lot to be desired in terms of quality for longevity's sake.
Hyped for sure, but they aren't being made anymore so the price will only go up.
Is it true that most /rog/ fans are gay?
askin here bc no other threads know shit about anything
would it be a dumb idea to dye this l'maltieri coat black if i bought it? think it would flow better with a rick style and its much cheaper to find one in this colour
>>10870033
>>10870033
Depends on material. Organics take home dye, synthetics usually aren't so easy. Something like cotton / wool / silk would be best to work with, and you will need to be comfortable putting it in very hot water (possible shrinkage)
Fair warning though, even with double concentration a lot of my home dye jobs end up being dull greys more than they are black, it's just not super easy to achieve high saturation.
If that's a sorta maroon color I kind of like it, and think it could flow well with Rick stuff.
>>10869999
every single one of us are gay, if you're not go away dude.

>>10869999

>>10870407
Most of the gay people in fashion I know prefer brands like Dries, Jil, Acne, Lanvin...

I know this shit gets asked all the time but do people in the US get hit with customs from Spence?
>>10871259
:|
>>10871285
I hate the superstars honestly. They don't feel good. I recommend saving up for the sock ramones. The sock runners are cool, but the suede leaves a lot to be desired. I prefer the grained leather for sure.
>>10871299
