Kingsman: The Secret Service is a fun little dumb movie that I enjoyed immensely.

Spectre is sartorially excellent but kinda intellectually devoid. Casino Royale and Skyfall are better in every way, including clothing.

Ex Machina's interior design is phenomenal. Story is good but could have been better.

The Grand Budapest Hotel has beautiful sets but is more Wes Anderson shit.

Nightcrawler's aesthetic and style is phenomenal until he gets all obsessive about those shitty-looking bloated Dodge Challengers.

Recommendations (with my own rating and comments):

Chunking Express: 9.5/10. Visually cerebral romantic movie. Dreamy cinematography, tying together two stories centered around a yearning cry for love. Effay as fuck.

Breathless: 9.5/10. Jean-Luc Godard's magnus opum. A suave romance movie set in 1950s Paris. A one of a kind effay movie.

Taxi Driver: 9/10. You-should-have-already-seen-this core.

Punch Drunk Love: 8/10. PTA's most ambitious movie. Carrying an outlandish plot, and unconventional dialogue, this (arguably pretentious) movie is unlike anything you've ever seen.

Rear Window: Incredible movie, perhaps the pioneering /fa/ movie. A must see for all /fa/ggots.

Its not meant to be exciting. You really need to be in the right sort of mood then turn off all the lights, chill out and take it all in. Think about the movie for a bit, it has a fair amount of depth to it and is a really nice visual experience too.

It's not exactly an approachable film though. Maybe watch Ivan's Childhood, it introduces the Tarkovsky style while being a more coherent film.

I watched "A Summers Tale (Conte d'été)" the other day and loved every single outfit the guy wears. Pretty effay movie to be quite honest with you mate

A few films that come to mind

Carlos- I cannot recommend this enough. Acting is fantastic, effay 70s aesthetic, as well as a great soundtrack.

Inside Llewyn Davis- Oscar Isaac is great, Coen brothers of course deliver. Also has a killer soundtrack.

Christiane F- Bowie, Heroin Chic, 80s berlin. Must watch

La grande bellezza- this has been talked about on here before but still worth mentioning. Felliniesque, fits are great, existential

Band of outsiders- really all french new wave is effay. The dance scene in this is amazing. It's Godard so you know what to expect.

big fan of wes anderson's early work (i.e. bottle rocket and rushmore) but this was pretty weak. it's like the critics all decided wes anderson is good but didn't actually review the movie for what it was (very bland storyline combined with derivative anderson characters, cinematography, and sets).

Someone recommended Buffalo '66 a while ago in one of these threads.

One of my favorite movies now. Very /fa/.
