I've always wanted a pair of vietnam surplus jungle boots. I think the way they're shaped is cool and I really like how clunky and function-over-form the soles are.

You can find originals at surplus stores, and I think there's a few places that make cheap reproductions.

Don't wear them with bootcut. The uppers aren't thick at all, think of them more like taller converse than other boots. I usually wear mine untied with the pants tucked into them.

Real "combat boots" today are basically hiking boots.
