????????????
>>
I really fucking want a pair of palladiums
But all the recent reviews say they fall apart and are garbage boots. But I literally cant find anything identical. Slim. Sidezip. Boots.
I just want them to be actually durable fuck.
>>
>>10845410
Copped those exact ones two months back, wear them almost always and they still look great.
>>
>>10845547
no
>>
>>10845654
Who said that? I used to hear the quality was pretty good, did it just degrade recently or something?
>>
>>10845654
I've got a pair of leather ones that have handled a lot of nasty weather. They're actually very well made.
>>
>>10845743
The Leather ones dont have side zips do they?>>10845723
Theyve moved their factories all over in the recent decades.
The original French factory products were god tier, then they moved to srilanca or some shjit, quality was still there, Vietnam Im not sure but I think it was still "ok", Then they moved to china and now they dont last even a year. The general consensus is that they start tearing/ripping after a few months of good use.
>>
>>10845654
Dependa from where they are made.
If I recall, there are 2 main places where they are made. On is shit the other is not.

do they last at least as long as chucks?
i had a pair of chucks i beat so bad i literally wore through the sole. if the palladiums can handle at least two years of heavy wear like a pair of chucks then im sold. cant beat that for the $20 i paid for them
i actually continued to wear them after pic related
>>
>>10845447
>>
>>10845410
Mine got ripped apart at the back just above the heel. It wasn't even the seam that ripped, but the textile itself. I also hate the toecap and in hindsight I really regret copping them
>>
I bought these in August 2014; they've held up so far.
>>
>>10845781
That is quite unfortunate, the black ones looked like some nice cheap beaters
>>
I'm fucking pissed. I recently got a pair and the first time I wore them in the rain the color immediately began to come out. Its like they colored them with markers or something, and now there are these pale white spots all over them. When I buy a pair of boots I expect them to be able to take a bit of water, I live in California so its not like it was even raining that hard anyway
>>
>>10850248
lol what model?
>>
>>10845410
muh higa
>>
>>10845723
anyone with half a pair of eyes can tell you their quality is shit
>>
Thoughts on these? http://www.palladiumboots.com/collections/waterproof/pampa-cuff-wp-lux-73231-220-m

figured i'd cop if they went on sale
>>
>>10850654
Now you're just pulling stuff out of your ass you faggot.
A couple of years ago Palladium's quality used to be pretty good, but they recently moved production to china, which pretty much fits the time around which their boots started falling apart after days of wear.
>>
>>10849577
The toecap and the sole are one of the reason I like them, the silhouette is sexy as fuck
>>
>>10845410
you guys don't think the flaps look ridiculous

that's like some yesfashion stuff

They aren't really flaps though, they just fold up into high top boots.

>>10850968
I dunno, the last pair I had lasted way longer than the average pair of sneakers. I'm pretty hard on shoes.
>>
>>10851225
Yeah, from what I gather it's not so much that overall quality has gone to shit, but rather their quality control that has gone to shit.
Obviously you're more prone to find negative stuff on the internet because everyone whose boots break will rant about it on the internet, but most satisfied customers won't go and praise the shoe online.
When did you buy yours?
>>
>>10851285
Got these about 2 months ago. Also, if other people's palladiums are breaking, it might have something to do with the different materials or a side zipper on other pairs. I just stuck with canvas.
>>
What is going on with warosu anyways

palladiums are literally the only brand i've seen that people are always 50/50 saying it looks good or it looks bad
>>
>>10849949

Pretty sure black are made in Vietnam and are better quality. Copped some black ones a month or two ago and they were made there

the IT guy is on vacation, no one knows for sure what's happening.
Most probably the server went out of HDD memory which caused the server to crash.
All of the data is backed up and the site should come back online.
In the meantime there's 2(or more?) archives of /fa/:
http://4archive.org/fa - only 4622 threads but with full images
http://4ch.be/fa - only thumbnails

Alright, just posting to settle this retarded bickering:

I've just hit the two-year mark for these and there was no tearing, sole wear-through, or "falling apart at the drop of a hat" in those two years. As you can clearly see from the photos, my pair is made in China. I did replace the original cotton laces with some shorter polyester ones. The original laces were too long and did eventually tear from excessive tightening. You can even see the frictional wear at the front of the ankle of the boot. Only recently, i.e. after two years, has the rubber began peeling from the canvas upper in the toe area.

Also, OP is a tard for mispelling palladium.
>>
>>10855587
they look p nice beat up
>>
>>10850318
not the poster you replied to, but this happened to me too. Color came out a little bit on mine.

Baggy reflective, made in vietnam. It was the black one with the M3 reflective inside
>>
Baggy blacks here, seem to be holding up fine, given them about a month's daily driving so far, no noticeable damage
>>
What do if the tounge doesn't sit correctly on my baggys, would ironing them fuck them up?
