Let's try talking about colours. Stuff like yellows, oranges, reds, greens, etc...
I know that most people don't really wear colourful clothing but it doesn't really matters here.
What do you personally like when talking about colours ? Do you use them ? If yes, how do you usually do it ? If not, why don't you do it ?
Do you have any picture of stuff that makes you feel that it's good even though it's colourful or just things that could be used as inspiration ?
Where do you go if you want to find stuff like oranges, yellow or purples as a man ? As a woman ?
Have you found some combinations that you feel are great ?
Well, something like this, mostly. Let's hear your opinions on colours and don't be afraid to also mention stuff that may look good to someone into colour even if that's not your thing.
It's been proven people look more handsome in black so you should wear black.

I thought "colours" was okay in Commonwealth English, though ?

>spelling like a pleb
Bumping for interest cause I'm a colour pleb when it comes to clothing.
Yeah like a typical /fag/ I wear a lot of neutrals because they just go with everything, but lately I've been getting a bit more colourful. I've been experimenting with combining pastels and earth tones. Still not a fan of bright, heavily saturated colours though.

Most people - at least here, in Europe - like blue. So if you go blue, it usually doesn't seem strange to those around you.
Red's also pretty liked. It tend to go well when you apply it as small touches to black or dark shades of gray.
There was a time when I tried dressing mostly in red with some black here and there but usually people would complain about that being too colourful for their eyes at 7 A.M.
Green probably goes well with earth tones and whites or cream. I never really tried it but the few times I paired it with white, others didn't really seem to think it was strange. I'm talking about light yet colourful greens, here.
Purples can go well with black, as one would expect. I've also got some purple pants but I must admit it's pretty difficult to find something that complements it well. Maybe that it would work better with reddish or pinkish-purples.
Pink. I don't know, I never wore pink and I don't really want to.
Orange. That one usually gets comments about how uncommon it is or stuff like "why would you even wear such a color", like with yellows. Yet, it usually goes pretty well with reds that are uhm... carmine, maybe ? At least, in my opinion.
Yellows. I love yellows but most people don't. Someone even told me once that "There was a reason people don't wear yellow" even though I thought it was pretty good. It's one of the colours that are globally the least liked so be careful. I do think that it can blend in well with black, orange or brown though.
In the morning I first pick the main color That reflect best how I feel in that moment and then assemble everything else to match it. I like to wear bright colors, but it can be quite hard to get a matching fit.
I can understand why people prefer dressing just black or greyscale, but, for me, wearing strong colors communicates liveliness and sometimes takes precedence before having a well rounded fit. Basic colors are dark red, bright orange, dark green and desaturated blue.
I feel yellow is the most complicated color to pull of, for me it only works as complementary contrast.

Saturated yellow is definitely tough to pull off, but softer yellow pastels can look good on people with a bit of a tan and work great for preppy looks. I can only wear that shit mid summer, otherwise it makes me look really pale but it's a nice colour IMO.
memes aside I like the colors Tyler, The Creator uses in his clothing line, Golf Wang.
Im going to post some of his stuff from previous lookbooks/ads/etc
they are all from here

Just look at artwork for color, texture, pattern inspiration.
This might sound weeb as fuck, but I take a lot of my inspo for colour from the 2d threads. Like I value them for the overall palette not the fits that people post in them because anime proportions are so fucked.
Is it /fa/ to wear monochrome with a focus on silhouette and detail to help accentuate your face, rather than clothes being the centerpiece?
I'm trying to get more purple and green

Wearing neutral colo(u)rs (Black, white, light grey, desaturated something) and adding one item, like a jacket or a shirt, in red or blue for example is GOAT
/fa/'s afraid of colour
