really seems like london is kind of getting bigger than milan. seeing moschino in london instead of milan is quite odd, not a huge fan of moschino but it's one of the brands i always associate with milan. i suppose milan will always have their 'own' italian brands (most of them at least) but london is getting more interesting in my opinion.

I don't think they're texting so much as they're writing notes and first impressions. I remember "older" (really just 7 years ago) fashion shows featured a lot of people writing on notepads. Texting is just faster now

Curious to hear opinions on Gucci's recent FW15/SS16 shows now that Alessandro Michele has taken the reins. I think it's a better direction for Gucci. Maybe it's because I just watched Dazed and Confused right around when I saw the shows for the first time, but I'm all for 70s influence now. Furthermore, I think the whole SLP hypetrain makes it easy to transition towards that kind of movement

gucci's nice, but i think it suffers from the same problem louis vuitton has.
that being it's menswear and rtw, (the good stuff)
get overshadowed by its monogrammed items, or in gucci's case any items with the red and green stripes.

I remember when reading about gareth pugh
he said he wasn't making much his first few seasons because non of his runway stuff was capable of being sold in boutiques, especially since a lot of it was inflatable stuff.

and he's dialed it back a bit so now its more accessible to people.
