It needs to be as light as that pic, I actually did tone it to silver, pic related. The toner was Kenra 10sm with 10 volume developer, if you have a hairdresser friend they can buy it for you. I have also had good results with Wella T14 and 20 volume developer which you can buy at Sally beauty supply. Purple shampoo is a must to keep it from fading.
