Which tie would go with this shirt?
obligatory

I'm not a regular at /fa/, but I wear ties at formal events.
>>10770214
But thats seersucker no?
>>10770214
imo stay away from shirts like that if you're gonna wear it with a tie, especially if it's going under a blazer. go with a solid color shirt and wear a solid color tie as well
A red knit tie
Okay, I can see the problem with getting a tie with this shirt.
How about this suit with a white shirt?
Which tie?
Sorry for shitty pic.
>>10770237
Looks like a loose weave oxford
>>10770214
Casual ties, like a knit tie. That's a really casual shirt.

Bumping for this.

This.

>How about this suit with a white shirt?
Sure.
>>10770303
>Which tie?
Maybe a deep purple or green (like the lining) or something. Hard to tell colors precisely without seeing it in person. Ties are easy, if you end up copping the suit just take a look at it in person against other colors and see what looks pretty.

>Purple
That's a pretty good idea.
Use whatever tie you like. It's basically a blue shirt. Those kind of shirts are also called OCBD (Oxford cloth button down)
>>10770303
Dark blue, purple striped, purple pasley, bordeoux.
You norfag btw? i see some moods on that blazer
>>10770542
>norfag
I'm from Denmark, but yeah, it's from Moods of Norway.

I would suggest going to Mrporter.com check out their blazer and find some of their suggested looks with those blazers or suits. See what works for you :)
>>10770633
Huh, thanks.
That's a pretty neat website.
Unfortunately, they don't have that exact suit/blazer.
>>10770802
No need. Just a suit or blazer that matches in colour.
>>10770888
Well, I think it'll look a bit different, since the suit I posted has some special texture.

Jesus H. Christ people are idiots in this thread.
It's an oxford shirt - the quintessential prep staple. If you're wearing a tie with it, it better be one of the following:
- university stripe
- knit solid
- *maybe* a plaid
Never do up the top button, four-in-hand knot, loose. OCBD's are ultra casual, and should be treated as such. Never wear it as a shirt for a suit. You want to wear a jacket, it better be a casual sport coat - stick to tweeds. Bird's Eye/Donegal or a Harris. "Heavy" wool will do as well.
Go look at old Ralph Lauren or pre-nigger Tommy Hilfiger ads to see how to wear an oxford... or as much as I hate to say it, find a copy of Take Ivy.
