Recently tried my hand at distressing a pair of jeans, how do they look? I was trying to make them slowly become paler and paler towards the bottom but instead i just ended up with white legs, guess I used too much bleach. They contrast isn't as stark when worn though so it doesn't bother me.

what's liberty? a military surplus store or something? i'm always on the lookout for fabric. desu i live in a flyover state and have no access to anything other than jo ann, so i have no online sources besides mood fabrics and maybe the hill side if they still sell fabric.

It took three days of work and sewing but I tailored this longcoat to a slim fit with a taper

there are some flaws I have to get to (adjusting shoulder pad stitching and bolstering some joints) but other than that I am pretty content

How do I learn how to sew? Any decent books or books on pattern making? Everything seems to cater for females.

Thanks, I'll probably never be able to wear it since it's both impractical for where I live and I'd look like an asshole since I'm still in college, but it was a fun project to test my proficiency with a sewing machine
