GOOD MORNING/AFTERNOON/EVENING /FA/MILY. TODAY WE DISCUSS 2015 TRENDS, AND PREDICT WHAT NEXT YEAR HAS IN STORE FOR US. NO TROLLS ALLOWED LOL. LET'S BEGIN.

2015 trends:

- Black & white
- ASOS
- Surplus
- Neomilitarism
- Light wash/palewave
- Androgyny

2016 predictions:

I predict the new Star Wars will set off a short-lived resurgence of tryhard futurism.
>>
whos dis semen demon?!
>>
Summer 2016 = big shirts/sweaters with shorter shorts and possibly high socks or boots

Sandy colour palette will keep trending

70s via the 90s
>>
>>10720105
>Summer
>sweaters

wot
>>
>>10719972
trends are dead, fashion is becoming more and more diverse, there still are some microtrends that trickle down to normies and get ruined in a month, but im pretty sure that big trends are dead
>>
>>10720105
Sounds true, for where I am currently
>>
I am very sure Palladiums were a thing in 2015 and next year they will start fading out for so.ething else.
>>
>>10720118
not true

>bomber jackets
>black
>all white sneakers
>chelsea boots
>overcoats

all HUGE MAINSTREAM normie trends right now
>>
Urban Jedi please
>>
Guys do you realize that skinny black jeans have been a meme for over a decade now?

Will they become eternal like a white t-shirt did?

You said they will die in 2009
>>
>>10720118
I fucking hope so! But honestly don't see it happening
>>
>>10720118
I agree, individual items being bought by the masses aren't a "trend" in my eyes, and more of a "microtrend".

These things are usually a meme for a month or two. I don't really let the fact that I bought a bomber a couple of years ago and now they're popular bother me...

My prediction would be people dressing like Shia.
>>
Once Star Wars releases world wide, whatever haircut and style from there is going to become the next big trend.
The trick is watching the movie and rexognizing it right away.
>>
>>10720632

amusing

>Dark Techno music going mainstream among teens

fully instrumental music subgenres have never been mainstream

i still see many more 'fashionable' people wearing hoodies than bombers

2015 was the year of

all those trends you posted are for people not into fashion

androgyny is still very in and i predict it will increase even more next year. which isn't a bad thing, women like in OP's pic can pull it off nicely.

but women who can't pull it off are going to be just awful.

Everyone and their brother is sporting a beard.

Timbs? Do you mean Timberland's? Because those have been gauche everywhere except lesbian lumberjack squaredances since like 2005.
>>
>>10722700
I see more and more people post about them here

They're probably plebs who have
never spent more than $250 on an article or accessory.

Cap-sleeve mock-turtleneck bodysuits paired with nano-skirts and combat boots.

actually ya normies are already catching on to it, and the fashion crowd (no not autistic internet forums) are moving past. sorry m8 you're in the middle part of "early majority" with those

Androgyny will always be in as long as there are people who feel uncomfortable about it.

Post got deleted because I posted a naked girl that shits herself

gritty grungy 80s and 90s+ a tiny bit of surf
at the end of the year, early 90s cyberpunk

Sadboy core completely dying

Classic bombers finally become too mainstream

Streetwear slowly dying (niggers and fuccbeasts gonna suck that thing dry in the following years)

Classic fashion is popular on instagram(think of fashion as it was in the 80s-already happening with insta sluts wearing those tight turtlenecks)

More and more teens resort to thrifting because its cool to dress like a hobo granpa

third and second world countries are still into streetwear and hypebeast culture

Dark Techno music going mainstream among teens(your classmates will discuss berghain) -pop rap music incorporating some minimal techno elements

Better stock up on stans and skin tight black jeans

Maybe in a few clubs in major cities, I wanted to say that it might become mainstream on the internet like dupstep did.

Please give me a couple of mainstream dark techno beats
>>
>>10723553
I dunno what you mean by mainstream beats, but here in Holland at least i hear it almost everywhere. From small pubs to big festivals, for example I'm going to a 20k visitors big techno party this weekend.

its pretty much pointless to try and predict trends now, sure there are some hyped items that the avergae "fashion forward" crowd are getting but there is a lot of them, i dont consider clothes made popular by huge marketing campagins a trend.

longer hair isn't exactly feminine anymore, as many movies about actors with disheveled hair or long hair in general have shown us (Chris Hemsworth is a decent example of slightly longer hair)

late 60-early 70s inspired fashion, maybe something from the 50s

maybe a punk revival (distressed tees, leather everything, chains, shit like that) but it depends about the years taken as inspiration

basically cotton sweaters with holes in them that look thick but also airy

>>10721225
I'm starting to see a LOT of people on my campus with chelsea boots. Mainly girls tho. Take it as you will (not the anon that commented originally) but I would consider it pretty mainstream by now. Overcoats not nearly as much, because all the ones from F21 look like shit. Regardless, I think patterned coats/patterned outerwear will make a bit of a push. quality of pattern helps distinguish designer from fast fashion, which I think designers want to move forward with. Minimalism is great, but it's fucking up the elitists who want fashion to stay with the snobs (not saying that's whats actually happening, just what I think)

>>10721669
Androgyny is going to continue for sure. I feel like high waisted pants are moving forward, which means that tops won't be long as fuck to accomodate the low-rise that everyone is attached so dearly to.

>>10723593
I think some of what you're describing is a "fad" Fad /= trend because fad is very short lived. I would say something like turtlenecks are a fad. They probably won't continue on for more than a couple years, especially the forever 21 floppy af turtlenecks. Otherwise, yes, oversized is going to be a trend moving forward. Not many people are going after it, though. They're adopting oversized tops but not bottoms, because everyone fears baggier fits (probably because of the stigma against flare pants, but flare /= straight leg). Straight leg will move forward a bit, I think, but won't go too far until end of 2016 and in 2017 (at least for the majority).

>>10723604
>>10723650
lmao don't flatter yourself for being ahead of the curve. it's just what happens when an undercut grows out and the manbun doesn't wanna be done. You can thank justin bieber for giving you a new trendy hairstyle. I have been seeing mad people shave their head this year, so I am interested to see what happens for hair trends going forward
