Had a vyvanse 40mg prescription for a year, taking 'em pretty much every day, doing great, getting a lot of shit done. I'm bipolar to start so I've had a lot of super high-highs and low-lows on vyvanse, but side-effects have always been purely mental... until recently.

I took a double dose five or so days ago (80mg vyvanse). Felt fine all day as this is nothing new for me. Later at night, couldn't sleep (didn't drink that night) and felt my chest tightening and my heart started beating hard. Didn't take vyvanse for a few days, it went away. Then, a couple of days ago, I took 40mg and stayed up all night working on shit with my buddy. Felt fine all night, napped during the morning of the next day, and took a lil more (abt 20mg) before getting back to work. My girl came over that night and while she was here, I had the same tightening in the chest and hard heartbeat.

Damn, really didn't mean to blogpost too hard.

TL;DR did vyvanse give me a heart condition or am I just having panic attacks? Has anybody else experienced this?

I honestly am pretty good at just not thinking about things when I don't want to, or can make myself become detached enough from my situation that something that should be extremely stressful just seems funny. When I really can't handle the stress though, I just take Xanax in a really responsible dose (never more than 1mg, and usually .25-.5 mgs) that's like once a month though.
