Help me layout my basement, /fa/. This is actually one of two residence halls on campus that has individual bedroom apartments. This is just my room, there's three other rooms just like it, a living room, and a kitchen. It's a pretty sweet deal.

The biggest thing that jumps out is the overwhelming lack of furniture. A nice couch and coffee table could make the righthand side of the room feel a lot less empty and temporary. A desk up in the upper alcove would be nice - maybe you have one and I'm just not seeing it. You're solid on plants, but I think you could do even more - go hogwild.

I'd definitely try to find stuff of natural/stained wood and wrought iron that matches your awesome staircase.

(That said, I know all of that could get pricey as fuck, so no judgment)
