What types/models of motorcycles are /fa/ ?
Which ones to avoid?
& yes I'm buying a bike soon
Depends on your style, personally i prefer bikes from the 80's
Also don't buy american if you aren't prepared for maintenance on it all the time

>those shoes especially
fucking squid tbuuh
>>10669289
My style is more geared towards ones like in the picture or modern. I've never owned one before so I'm open to a change in taste, I do like the one you posted.
>>10669292
Any other tips? Which brands require the least maintenance?
>>10669312
Japanese bikes are cheaper to get stuff for most of the time, and easier to jury rig if that's your thing. That's at least what i've observed. It may be a blanket statement, but feel free to do a little research on the bikes that you like that's the best tip i could give you.
>>10669288
Try the Cleveland cyclewerks ace
>>10669332
I'll keep that in mind. & yes right now I'm looking at the BMW F series.
>>10669288
Cafe Racers for sure

& the Kawasaki Versys.
If you want less maintenance go for a fuel injected motorbike, as far as what brands. I mean it all depends on what your looking for and what you want to pay. Id stay clear of buying anything brand new, but dont buy anything with over 10000k Miles on her. Id also like to make the point "Dont buy american unless you wanna do maintenance all the time". This is a blanket statement. Considering how there arent many american made motorbikes anyway. Japanese bikes will be easier to get, cheaper, and more widly known. Check out 70-80s CB550, CB175, CB750. These are interesting bikes, but expect maintenance. However they are easy to find and cheap. If your style is the OP pic, then go look at some KTM, BMW enduros.

i was mostly referring to Harley since they are the biggest, should've made that more specific. but yeah fuel injected is good and used bikes that are broken in are good to start with. Seems we both agree on japanese bikes though
650
Or 700

/fa/:
cafe racer
Japanese standards
Some models of cruisers look nice
Mopeds can be /fa/
Absolutely fucking disgusting tier:
Sportsbikes (MotoGP wannabe-tier)
Mopeds made to look like sportsbikes (Yes, these actually exist.)
Choppers (Favored by inbreds)
Bobbers (Favored by 9edgy5u metalheads)
Anything Harley Davidson-brand (Shit production value, both for the bikes and the merch. . Every fat cunt going through a midlife crisis buys this brand.)
Anything Indian-brand (Shitty knockoff of Harleys and are just as shit.)
>>10669678
I agree with 90% of what you said. But implying indian is a shitty knockoff of harleys is a false statement. Maybe todays production, but In reality harleys were a shitty knock off of indians back in the day.
>>10669769
I'm obviously referring to the modern productions, not the stuff from the early days of motorcycles when they were good and Harley was just starting to find its groove in the niche for shittily made motorcycles.

R Nine T
GRAIL
I know too many people who've died on motorcycles.
Is that what makes them cool? The dangerous aspect?
>>10669355

>>10669288
I live in Aus where helmets are compulsory, what are some /fa/ helmets?
I always feel goofy with a helmet so I couldn't say which ones are most /fa/ but I like retro looking stuff like the Biltwell Bonanza and Bell Custom 500.
>>10671495
Thanks haha I was really hoping for a full face helmet, however, I am on a fully auto Vespa.
>>10671508
Biltwell's gringo is their full face counterpart. Bell's is crazy expensive, but I forget the name.
Just look around online and see what you like.

Cafe racers are making a massive comeback in the last few years. If you're lucky you can still find some old Honda CBs for cheap: they're pretty much bulletproof with a little bit of love when you first get it.
Sportsbikes work if you're a qt girl in full leathers, or I guess if you're half Asian and a model.
Far more difficult than finding a bike is finding gear. It's all made for fat, short fucks and so much of it has horrible branding all over it.
I don't know shit about motorcycles, but this cafe rider type looks the /fa/est
