Post anything and everything to do with SLP.
Inspo, fits, crits, cops, discussions, memes, autism, we want it all.
Tripfags aren't welcome. Fuck off Big Guy, Patrick Bateman and all you other dickheads.
who the fuck does product photography for SLP, holy shit how do you get that lighting, why does this leather look so yum
Is anyone else tired of how Hedi Slimane (or any other designer) refuses to use black models?
The only time I recall him using a black model, was that one lightskin Jimi Hendrix look-alike that he used in the psych rock collection.
SLP focuses on sub- and countercultures like punk, post-punk, grunge, rock, etc...
I think he could make great collections based on black culture aswell, and it's really a shame that he doesn't :((
Also got my leopard sweater earlier today
>feels good man
Could you post pics?
The othet anon is right, they look likd average loafers on you
>tfw shitty camera and mirror
Fits a bit longer and baggier than i expected, it really skinny in the arms tho
Anyone else here disappointed in Hedi doing the same shit year after year for 10+ years?
I feel like he isn't even trying anymore and his spring/summer 2016 show broke my heart.
I feel like he could use some fresh air.
As I said in my other post >>10668086
Kinda tired of every aw collection being the same velvet underground look.
I think hedi could take inspiration from other youth cultures without straying too far away from le slp aestethic
Was just thinking this.
really only wear and buy slp cause it fits my body better than anything else.
I really enjoyed the Parisian styling as well as influence in the winter collection but this summer collection just screams "kook" to me. Especially with these slp embroided skateboards too.
I mean i still thought the collection was fun and pretty suiting for a summer collection. I.e more relaxed, less serious styling and undertone on presentation. But things for me are starting to run a bit stale, i think its really easy to just say that a lot of Hedi's time at Saint Laurent has just been Dior v2 and i dont necessarily agree with that but i also don't disagree with it. Theres been a few items that are essentially just Dior clones.
Also the pricing for some pieces have just gotten out of hand, especially now that the production side of SLP has changed. Im not one to complain about price for designer pieces at all but constantly spending 600-1000$ takes a toll after a while. Haha.
Idk, i still enjoy the brand as a whole and i did like some of the pieces from ss16, like the destoryed flannels but i still kinda find myself being bored with it. Maybe its just cause im not ready to give up the French Heels and sharp tailoring for more of a relaxed beach bum look.
I still enjoy the runway shows just for the sheer production that goes into them but i do find that the clothing is starting to make go "meh" or "so what". But again it was only a Spring/Summer collection and those tend to be less serious(meaning more fun, relaxed, loose) than say a Fall/Winter collection. Just have to see how it all plays out for FW which im excited for just to see what he decides to follow up with after the surf goth collection.
Speaking of taking influence from other youth cultures, i think it'd be kinda cool to see a 60's Brit inspired collection. Of course its been done to the point of death almost but it'd be cool to see an slp take on it.
Idk maybe it just sounds appealing to me right now cause im really enjoying Burrberry right now and i really love the french rounded collars and looks like pic related.
Anybody able to reccomend some brands that are similar to SLP but a little lower prince point?
I'm particularly looking for denim / footwear in the ~$250-400 range. I'd kill for a dope pair of slim leather chelseas for like $350.
slp sucks honestly, when you compare the stuff to what hedi was doing with dior ie luster or whatever it just falls apart like a heap of emaciated white kids w/ rich daddies in cheap materails jacking off to tired cliched, cash-in ideas of rock n roll. This shit is trash and its well known that the actual quality of the pieces are terrible,
now THIS on the other hand:
Nah it's more suiting which isn't casual to wear... SLP quality might not be better quality wise but they're clothes that you can take out daily.
Why is Yami so SLP?
Where2cop Yami legs?
The pic is shit, I know but it's the best I could do at 23:39 in Mexico City lol
(Ignore the pants, these are shitty Acne Studios I use for work not the FW13 D02 MIJ I use it with).
This is the tee, btw, http://www.ysl.com/us/shop-product/men/ready-to-wear-t-shirt-and-jersey-classic-short-sleeve-pocket-t-shirt-in-black-washed-silk-jersey_cod40120773qx.html#section=men_rtw_tshirts_and_polos
Cop or not ?
I wear 29 but the only size they have left is 31.
And i dont wear anything besides skinnies.
Why would you spend $220 on a pair of pants that you've never tried on and are pretty sure won't even fit you?
I swear /fa/ can be dumb as fuck sometimes. I almost want to tell you to go ahead and cop just so you learn a lesson
My fetish , definitely looking for other slp pieces. I love Hedi's aesthetic, and suits also people like me, that's not extra skinny like slp models
Stupid question. There are two signature jackets in their permanent collection, the one with the belt and other features and one without, made of lambskin and calfskin, respectively. Is the calfskin one pure black, or washed black? I ask because if I'm gonna shell out the money, I want to shell out something that'd be a little more durable.
80s pattern accessories and a super slim jacket. maybe even a white one
this dude pretty much has the perfect slp silhouette, my nigga even has lil' chelseas on
Very but I still think Yami is better, or other animes in general do it better.
I actually couldn't believe how low quality the show was. It's sad really because the look has a lot of potential to grow and expand while still maintaining it's integrity, but it's like he's not even trying to expand the look artistically anymore.
