How does /fa/ deal with cowlicks? When my hair goes fairly short

Puff up the rest of your hair, it looks slicked downward, just run your hand through it to have it stand up with the cowlick so it doesn't look out of place, it might take a couple attempts to get it looking right instead of being a puffy mess

I've got a cowlick in the front and I just style my hair along its natural curve so it looks nice and disappears

Tell your hairdresser that you have a cowlick and they will keep the area around it a bit longer so it can lay down more. It will always stick up if it is short. It won't be perfect though. I use American Crew Fiber to style my hair and it manages my cowlicks fairly well.

I find that spray will eventually get fucked up and make it worse. This Fiber shit can easily be reshaped with your hands later in the day.

Nah now it looks messy as fuck, maybe shift it toward one side so its not as messy but still retains volume

I mean where the short hair stops right before your cowlick is too high. Try to have your hairdresser fade the long parts into the short parts on the back of your head.

I find my hair will stay down if I wash it less. I normally use a small amount of Head and Shoulders (don't know if there is conditioner) three times a week. Wash with water the other days.

I told her not to cut it short but she has only cut hair for a year so idk. The cow lick won't show much on like a month on sure right? Once it grows back a bit
