I just moved
And I need room inspo
Here's what I can contribute: scans from Popeye's interior design magazine from last month
Just finished scanning them
Someone can convert the pdfs to individual jpgs I guess but I don't own Adobe
This is my room. Right now it's not as effay as it could be because of the desktop and cables.
I move around a lot so I picked all my stuff so it can be quickly packed and moved. The lighting's nicer here (especially if it's not cloudy) so when I go back to my dorm room it's going to look like a submarine by comparison.
I love this room because it's completely focused on one interest (music) and sacrifices practicality for visual appeal. I know that pic is from a movie set, but I hate seeing things like the trashcan and family photo here
because it reminds me that an ordinary person lives there and really brings down the aesthetic imo. (overall I still like that room though).
does anyone have inspo or advice for a nature themed room? I'm thinking items such as skulls, traditional looking rugs, sheepskin rugs, a few houseplants, furs, lots of cool looking stones and trees and things like that. Kind of like the room in this guys video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYjBzbcQYhI
does anyone have inspo for that? a nice room with a rustic feeling that has lots of natural forest items in it.
This is my room.
I really like having the window right beside me, it's especially nice in summer since I can hear and see people outside.
I like the segregation between my computer desk with my manga collection and all my weeb stuff, and my second desk with my tinkering station. I feel like it would be heresy to set up weeb stuff on the tinkering desk and vice versa.
The chair looks obnoxious, but it's too damn comfy to compromise it.
Looking to paint the walls white but it's way too much work to move my entire setup
m80 I seriously hope this is your own place and not your room in your parents house. if you're blowing your allowance on weeb "collectibles" while leeching off your folks, consider suicide
those posters......literally why
those are like the most forgettable, blandest movies of the past 10 years and the posters look boring as fuck too
/fa/ is so isolated culturally from the rest of 4chan that most of you kekos probably never realized that hiroshima nagasaki is in charge of 4chan now and not moot, let alone the other changes.
I was into philosophy at some point. Ayn rand is the only thing on that shelf that I never completed, it's boring as shit.
I am still living with my parents, though I've got plans to move out as soon as I finish my current education and go to university.
Like hell I'd buy this stuff with my parents money. I've got a weekend job. And any and all weeb stuff that you see was either given to me or came for free with the manga I bought.
I wouldn't call manga and books "collectibles", especially not when they're in the original language and one actually uses them to practice and enjoy said language.
Collectibles is shit like figurines.
You need to be older than 18 to post here anon.
I second this
Skulls are cool, but they'll make you look autistic, sociopathic, and simply weird. They're not easy to pull off. I get it's not as simple as buying a bunch of plants, but it actually isn't that hard. I have fossils, shells, rocks, plants, small trees, and paintings scattered throughout. Pretty cozy.
Glad you like it
I'm trying to find a solution: walls have to be painted, but the landlord won't do it for three months
I'm trying to find something to cover the walls that's cheap and can be installed/removed easily
Thinking of getting a big quilt
stop fucking defending yourself, it's embarrassing
fastest way to out yourself as a crossboarder or a redditor (more likely given your case) is failure to own your posts
but yea lurk more pls
Why can't you just paint your own walls?
I like the idea of a quilt if you want to go full comfy for the room. It might look a little out of place otherwise. You can also look into hanging regular fabric (see pic) and/or plants.
I have an old French bookcase and a ton of vintage enamel decor so it might work
Not super excited about having to paint it now and then when I move out
I looked into removable wallpaper but it's really expensive
That should be alright then. I also forgot about large maps being an option as well. There's an antique store near me that has a pile of old maps, I need to hit it up sometime to round out my office wall.
I just bought a house myself, so I'm in a similar boat, but I really lack the cash to fully outfit the place quickly, and in a way I'll like. I'm slowly building up furniture and decor, and going from there.
Oh, and I didn't say it before, but thanks for uploading the Popeye scans. I wanted to buy that mag a while back, but I just plain forgot about it.
I have a lot more to upload man
Go Out and Lightning both have interior design magazines
And Lightning put out a guide to maintaining clothes/accessories
And I have the 2016 denim bible
Plus the Go Out gear book
La Fabrique à Mythes is such an amazing place.
I don't think i would ever leave home if i lived there.
