One thing I'm always curious about is I see Rick Owens putting skirts on guys, or using extremely long tee-shirts, etc. So I'm curious, would someone be able to pull off goofninja/RO stuff if they bought, say, a shirt dress for women and just wore it as if it was a long tee shirt?

Is it really? I've considered purchasing stuff like pic related as basics because I like the longline shirt look. It's pretty cheap so I figure I don't have much to lose, but I was just curious if I was committing some serious fashion sin or not. Most plain black long-sleeve longline shirts I find are 50 dollars and up, and while I'm sure the quality is nice, a part of me has a hard time justifying the pricetag when I can get this for about 20. Plus free prime shipping etc.

I think I'm gonna try it out. I've owned womens clothing before (my favorite coat in my wardrobe is actually a womens coat, no lie) so I may as well. And I don't think I'll have much issue with the fit because desu I have wider hips and such.

Everyone be cautious of fake double layers. I've seen a few on grailed and shit lately.
Telling signs are the neckline having a slight color contrast to the body, hidden seam at the bottom and very dark and bold text on the Rick Owens signature tags.
Always ask for pics of the tag, including the product code if in doubt. Make sure the product code doesn't match up with another Rick product.

There have been a lot of variations in his stooges over the years. Nothing out of the ordinary. Most of his leathers are sewn in Moldova ever since FW12, I believe. it's usually only made in Italy if it's a sought after fabric like heavy oiled calf and exotics for example, or if it's a design new for that season. Even then that's not entirely consistent.

Approaching them as an upgrade to chucks is a bad move, in my opinion. Chicks are so slim and flexible while Ramones are chunky. They are dominant presence on your feet

All mainline sawtooth (Ramones Geos) have worn down fairly quickly but nothing out of the ordinary. The Eva sole on tech runners seem to last longer.

In my experience cobblers prefer to shave down all the sawtooth and work from there.

I suppose this could be true. If it is, the seller really should detail this out on the listing. I've never seen an older Rick piece use that color of tags, and I've also only seen that cut in the last few seasons. Plus those double zips are really out of place considering he has never done double zips as far as I know. Either way, it's still shady that they would list this as an authentic Rick piece when the trademark signature was omitted entirely from the garment, and every other defining feature is suspect.
Sample or not, it's not worth any money when it's that suspect.
