If they are the classic tees then they are 100% cotton. They will shrink one size if washed conventionally just like any other 100% cotton tee. Whatever you wear comfortably in a cotton-poly blend shirt (which shrinks much less), go 1 size up from that for the classic tees. They should shrink in the wash. Stay away from rayon imho.

Pants should really be tried on in store and should fit snug or tight around the waist. They usually always stretch around the waist through wear but shrink back in the wash. Belts should only be an accessory and should only serve minimal function in keeping pants snug around the hips.
