Real question: Why has /fa/ backlashed against minimalism? Is it because lazy people "playing it safe" somehow "ruined" it? Or is /fa/ legitimately in a post-minimalist phase? Or, has the userbase of /fa/ become so young and basic that they dismiss minimalism because they do not understand it (and instead would rather post some shitty pair of overdesigned Vans in the cop or not thread)?

You can dress in a minimalist style without looking like you're "dressed by the internet," you know. Yet, everyone associates all minimalist fits with >>10631673 for some reason. Some of it is memery, I know - but seriously, what happened?

Well, I don't think minimalism is over. I still want to approach it from an artistic perspective, not a "throw a basic outfit together and it looks okay" perspective. I want to examine each piece of a fit to every detail, yet want to work with how broad strokes of color and material work together. It's like breaking down fashion to its geometric components - perhaps not only minimalism, but Suprematism.

Inherently, I don't think minimalism is lazy - in fact, it is quite the opposite.
