Let´s see some nice patches. Particularly looking for big back patches
Patch general master post:
Ebay, etsy, aliexpress and invididual bigcartels are your best shot. There is no one single perfect website that has all the good stuff. Wade through the shit to find what you need. That said, you can check out the following links for cool stuff
For inspo and other useful information, please go through the previous Patch Generals. The first three links in particular are full or OC and helpful answers.
Hi, do you think I should sew a back patch on this parka? I'm really hesitating
If so, what kind of scheme/colour?
Personally, I´m a big fan of back patches so I say go for it.
I´d start with finding out what you want thematically and not with the color scheme. There´s lots of different options in term of color but lots (and I mean almost all of them) of patches look tacky to me. Don´t go for something "ironic" or "nerdy" or whatever. You´ll end up looking like an idiot.
Colors that work with this: black, dark brown, burgundy probably
i've ordered a print of this image i made out of 2 old paintings i found online, 10 inches by 10 inches on a piece of canvas, i'm going to sew it onto the back of my fishtail parka, as well as various patches from ebay
the fake supreme one i'm going to cut up into pieces, as well as the cringe union jack with england written under it
Thanks for your advice, I was hesitant because the front seems really "charged" (don't know a better term), and a backpatch would overcharge it, I'm going to look for a patch that's suit it!
Well the front is a little busy and a more understated parka would look better. I just assumed this is your only option. I´d say a patch should work anyway (depends on what patch ofc)
A backpatch would work since it's an obvious milsurp jacket. That said, a typical "black cotton square with some graphic" would look bad imo. I'd go for an embroidered backpatch, something like pic related but not necessarily a tiger.
That's sick, but I would say just stick with this and not any other patches. I have a feeling the other ones will clash and make it look tacky since this is already a busy image. Post the jacket
sound advice. pic attached is the jacket.
Nice. The parka even looks good on it's own. Keep it clean and leave the patches for something else. The United Nations one would look sick on the arm of a white bomber or something, depending on how big it is
i've also made some changes to the parka, cut drawstrings off and i'm going to remove some of the buttons and the inside lining which can be unbuttoned, when it's in it makes the coat a bit too bulky rather than a drapey piece of material
Is there a website that can make custom patches for a decent price in Europe ?
Do you /fa/ms think would this patch look good on the back on this parka?
This one's coming from America so it might be a while though (you can probably guess that the actual patch doesn't have 'the nice price' on it)
what's the most /fa/ jacket to sew patches onto? i'm looking into getting an oversized denim jacket for patches, should i go for it or just put patches on the utility jacket i have now? it's just a plain olive green, no weird designs or stitching so i think patches might work on it too
w2c hip anime patches
Looking for Akira/NHK/Tatami Galaxy/GitS/Satoshi Kon/Watanabe
I want things like pic related that aren't overtly weeb unless you know the reference
etsy has a few, there's two PMMM ones i quite like, there's a patch for each of the girl's jewel things, i forget what they're called, and there's also one that's just Charlotte's head.
Always wanted to find a full size Akira back patch, like your pic but bigger
Cop or not? Kind of shittily made but i'm into the bottom one
i see a lot of 40 year old women with shirts with these on them. two of my professors in college have these on their doors.
with that said it's fine if you're a fan and want to wear a fairly cheesy patch that will identify you as such.
really wish I could find a Ghost Army patch, cool shit.
some dip thought i was making an anti-Islamic statement.
MFW millennials dont know Jack Burton.
Yeah, I was worried it's too edgy, and was planing on removing the bottom line
I'm hesitant wis this three others
Patches are a good conversation starter.
I usually put patches on tshirts or jackets to cover brand name (especially when it's an abercrombie tshirt).
But I limit myself to 1 patch per piece of clothing
Pins and patch's seem to go hand and hand so here.
My latest three patches, super happy how they came out. Circular ones on the shoulders and the Death Grips one is on the lower back
