here's the concept most people don't get here:
YOUR looks can only fit a certain style, as the same goes with everyone else. You seem to have a conservative STEMfag look to yourself in the first photo you posted, but you can improve on that to be a STEM major in 2015 instead of 1999.
That being said, clothing should best fit your style instead of what /fa/ forces down everyone else. What /fa/ considers to be fashionable will NOT work for you. This is why everyone was saying 11. I recommend 3 but again, it's up to you.
And just like people were saying 11, those same people would probably say that you should wear skinny jeans, stan smiths, and a black monochrome outfit, so be weary of the advice you get. Pick what suits you the best.

well I get that, but 3 is much more stronger than what you originally have. I've been working at an eyewear store for a few years, and a lot of people turn down 3 styled glasses because to them it still looks like an old wireframe style (like the one you have)
but the thing with 3 is that it has a newer modernized look while retaining a conservative look that fits your face and style, it's a perfect balance.
I would avoid 8 because they are too narrow and rectangular which makes your face appear longer. 3 has the shallow rimless part which will even things out.

Go to a lesncrafters or an optometrists with a glasses for sale section and try glasses on, figure out what sort of frame suits you face the best THEN buy your glasses. Glasses are an expensive thing, they vary a lot based on the person wearing them so online models wearing glasses might not necessarily reflect the way they might look on you. Glasses seem to suit your face but consider contacts as well. You seem like a dorky guy and maybe part of a new look is adopting a you without glasses.
