>>10613005
>>10613083
I'd say casual/winter/work.
>>10613480
They don't look THAT bad, anon...
First.
>>10613950
Do you have any experience with them or just basing them off looks?
>>10613951
Thorogoods are nice. I mean you could just look for others boots? It's up to you to dress yourself, not the internet.
>>10613976
I'm honestly pretty new to dressing well and in some dire need of advice.
>>10613989
Alright, just as a starting point think about your day to day attire and imagine these boots in that outfit. Do they look good?
>>10613005
OK wilson
>>10613994
I personally think the Thorogoods look the best. They're pretty cheap, too, but how are they in snow and slush?
>>10613996
They were recommended by a few friends, idk
>>10613997
I don't have too much snow and slush where I'm at. Can't really attest to how well they work in that.
>>10614009
How are they otherwise?
>>10614045
pretty comfy.
Resurrecting thread to ask.
Varvatos boots, $298. Cop or not?

Thoughts on these in black? Other alternatives?

dnc
Cop?
>>10613004
I have a pair of Thorogoods too, the leather feels so good and I love playing with it on my shoe when I'm just sitting around. Comfy too. Just make sure to get your right size.
>>10614535
How are they in snow and slush?
>>10614535
are they bulky looking with skinny jeans and other slim clothing?
>>10614519
C, those are pretty sweet.
>>10613004
>>10614519
which one should i cop?
>>10614499
Reasoning why?
I assume because it's overpriced?
>>10614670
maybe because they are hideous?
>>10614519

LL Bean has great customer service.
>>10614677
Genuinely asking, what do you like? I've got a boring pair of clarks chukkas that I want to replace.
>>10614519
Definitely cop. Chips are quality.
>>10614747
You have a pair? I hear they take a while to break in. How are they in rain and snow?
>>10614772
I had a pair of steel toe Apache boots that lasted 2 1/2 - 3 years in construction while I was getting my degree and still cleaned up nice after all that wear and tear for a long while. Looked, felt, and broke in better than the red wings I tried first. I treated them with mink oil and cleaned with saddle soap, they did fine in snow and slush but that only comes around once or so a year where I live then it's just light snow or rain.
Fucking loved those boots. I miss them. Steel toe was showing through the leather by the time I was done with them.
Apply mink oil correctly and you should be fine. Hair dryer, cloth, and a little time is all you need.

Thanks, anon. I'm a little hesitant about dropping the $70 extra more to get the Katahdins over the Thorogood, but I heard the Katahdins are leaps and bounds better than the Thorogoods.
