Well the weird thing is the sizing is different now. Ever since he changed to IT sizing the fit isn't quite the same. Good chance you're a straight up XS or a modern IT46. You can try them on in store and if you're a 46 you're likely and XS in the older jackets

I have the reverse leather lows. They are super stiff and no sign of breaking in anytime soon. Plus they are heavy, even heavier than my high tops surprisingly. The worst part though is my ankle bone (the lateral and medial malleolus according to Google) gets chewed up from running against the top of the opening - pic related

Leather will be fine in the rain. With my B/W Geos I put a very very light coat of wax (red wing makes one that's more of a creme). It doesn't change how they look, but it gives you good protection against a torrential downpour. Probably overkill though.

The all black version looks bad. I feel a big part of what makes rick sneakers work in a fit is the contrasting sole, making that obvious disconnect between the ground and the foot. It creates the illusion of walking on a platform.

No. Scuba has an offset zipper as well as wool cuffs. Molino has zippers at the cuffs but no wool. It also has a straight zipper that curves at the neck.

So I found this pair of Rick Owens boots for sale online in size 39 - my size...

What's strange about the ad is that the first picture doesn't seem to be the same boot as the three last. The first one appears to be in suede - most likely the RO Suede Ankle boot - and three others appear to depict a RO Spike boot.

I guess that it's just a mistake by the person who put up the ad...

What I'm wondering is...
- Do you think the boot is a fake or not?
- How much is it actually worth? It seems to be sold out everywhere so no prices are listed. I'm thinking like +200 Euro

What do you guys think?

Got my Ramones back from the cobbler. He did a decent job. Hard to find a good cobbler for some reason. He originally wanted to cap the entire outsole with this new rubber, was really not into that even though it will happen eventually...

If you setup an offset bridge correctly they hold tune very well. Especially original offsets like this one (1962) when they still made the vibrato spring out of decent metal. Admittedly, I replaced the bridge with a Mastery anyway, but it's always a strict upgrade. It can handle a beating and never go out of tune, it's phenomenal. I used to be all about stoptails until I got this guitar, I've been a Jazzmaster/Jaguar fan ever since.

Anyway, I'm ok with how white it is since while worn it's not noticeable at all. I'm trying to figure out whether I want to lace them differently or not. I think it's time.

I'm a Gibson 2 piece fixed bridge man myself. Dislike my telecaster ashtray bridge if I'm going to be honest. Have an ancient aria I fucking mullered and I'm forever fiddling with the floating trem on that trying to keep it in shape. In fact I'm gonna just block out the trem on that guitar and be done with it.


Might look at getting one of those FXR Floyd rose trems. They look pretty cool.


I try and change my lacing every so often to make sure I get even Wear - not sure it makes an appreciable difference though
