I'm a single father raising a daughter, and she needs a haircut, but she's not old enough to have her own opinion on it. I'm egalitarian so I believe both sexes should have short hair by default, but I also don't want to force my opinion on her while she's so young.

What should I do, keep it long as imposed by current social standards, or do what I want by cutting it short, potentially sabotaging her in the long run?

I'm going to visit Florida the middle of next month and in my hometown by October I'd be wearing a t-shirt with a flannel over it to cover the suspenders I like to wear. However, it's a heavy flannel since it gets pretty cold here. I'd generally like to maintain the same look while in Florida, but the average temp is 75F and I don't want to look dressed ridiculously warm.

When shopping for men's clothes, whats' the thin/light fabric alternative to flannel called? Is there some other type, like linen that might work?

Alternatively: What type of shirt would one wear in warm weather to be casual but still cover suspenders?

Depends on where you go. I bring my nice stuff to my actual tailor, and I bring my cheap stuff to a dry cleaners. Also depends on what you get. I got a waist suppressed and the sleeves shortened on a linen blend suit coat for around $90 plus tip.

My good suit is bespoke, cost about 4k.

Other suits that I bought at a store were tailored at no extra fee when I had it purchased. Fit is obviously not as good as my bespoke suit but still looks fine
