Just go to a thrift in a major city. That's the real look. Also be thin and have long legs. Wear D10 denim, they need not be distressed. There are multiple variations on the style, you're describing the most "fuccboi" version.
Black mid waisted jeans, tailored shirt and a black blazer are as much, if not moreso "SLP" than little crashes, Wyatts and those Hawaiian shirts you see gaudy Asians flaunting on Instagram.

I recently bought my first pair of real boots (iron rangers) and wanted a bit of clarification and reassuring.
I tried a medium size on and found it was way too tight and crushed my pinky toe, so therefore I tried a wide size which was much better. (I fall right in between a medium and wide on the brannock measurement).
My concern is that after wearing them for a couple of days I don't have any of the break in feels that people descrbe. All I have is some minor heel slip and sore heels from the hard cork sole. Other than that they feel fine. No excessive tightness. Been wearing them all day to break in.
Is my sizing right? A bit of heel slip is fine to break into correct? Other than that they're fine until they soften up.

the other guy is dumb. You don't need an insert, the heel will settle and sole will soften. If in two weeks they're still hard, get an insole.

If anything, the easiest route to take is to go business casual. A non-shitty fit button down, some slacks/chinos without a break at the bottoms, and derbies or casual brogues with a belt to match. Nothing too flamboyant color wise. Literally the easiest look to pull off, because if you don't have all of those things in your wardrobe already, you don't know how to dress.
