i never wear white socks becuse they look cheap,, make ugly contrast, dad/"lazy day" core, and they look dirty after a couple of wear even after wash

Only use athletic ones when exercising or doing sports if you really want to have some white socks.

Dark pants and shoes should be worn with dark socks, and lighter palettes would be better off with lighter tones like beige. Long socks should only be worn with long pants to prevent your skin from breaking up the line that the pants and shoes make. If you're wearing shorts or pants that show ankles get ankle or hidden socks.
Don't wear socks with sandals (please just don't), but always wear some sort of sock with shoes (even if its just a thin liner that can't be seen), to prevent your shoes from stinking to high heaven from all the sweat.
