I really don't understand the hype behind supreme clothing. do people simply wear this for the brand?
>>10893969
Yes.
That shit could look the exact same and say "Ultimate" and nobody would fucking buy it.
yeah, it's only for the brand
pic related it's a supreme hat I bought last month
>>10893975
That's because it would have no history of skate culture, great collaborations, and general influence on streetwear.
pretty basic question i think:
i struggle a bit getting my hair messy on the front. when i go through it with my hand, it kind of builds up like a wall.
for example, i love the hairstyle in pic related. seems easy, but when i try it out, it ends up like this:
http://hairstylesweekly.com/images/2012/07/Mens-Hairstyles.jpg
do you have any advice on how to achieve the jaime look? what products should i use and how should i move my hand through my hair so that it gets this messy "i dont care" look? does anyone have experience with that?
thanks in advance
bumpy

What is this jacket called and where can I buy it?
>>10892633
bump
Probably a contemporary military biker jacket -- judging by the ribbing on the shoulder/elbows and basic structure of the rest.
>>10892633
It's called the "Blarab Jacket". They only sell them in Dubai.

greasecore thread
>what is greasecore?
greasecore, aka bowling alley chic, is the darker, grungier side of normcore
>how do I dress greasecore?
greasecore is best summed up as a compilation of the hottest and most daring items you can find at Goodwill or SA. Loud Hawaiian shirts over ripped modelo tank tops, vintage sweaters with mustard-colored button downs underneath.
>how do I be greasecore?
being greasecore is more than just throwing on a stained wife beater and sweatpants. greasecore is smashing a steel reserve on the sidewalk and catcalling attractive women like a construction worker. greasecore is leaving your anxiety in a steaming puddle of piss on your patchy lawn, and letting go of the urge to try any harder than you care to. greasecore is embracing the lifestyle of the type of men that your mom told you not to talk to when you got lost at the grocery store.

Hello /fa/
I recently purchased a heavyweight bomber MA-1 bomber jacket which encompasses satin lining.
The material is quite uncomfortable and makes me sweat, I was wondering if it is possible to replace the lining? (it goes into the sleeves as well). Would a tailor be able to do this, or am I stuck with it as is?
Thanks
replacing the lining would cost probably as much as the jacket. To make a lining you basically have to make the jacket all over again. . .
If you're comfortable with that price then go ahead, but you could always purchase a lightweight bomber from everywhere.
>>10894677
why would you want to replace the lining?
>>10894677
if youre okay with a slightly janky or rugged look you could sew a flannel or something inside
Am I alone in thinking the Eliot in Mr. Robot looked really good?
Hes n o i d e d

He will be better in cp
>>10894517
Nothing noteworthy, he's just a normie dressed in all black.
Where do you get your fashion news? Pic semi related. Need some good recommendations. Publications also welcomed.
aside from forums? any takers?
I personally use styleforum and sufu but looking to expand
Hmm, Complex and (HighSnobiety?). As for recommendations, 10.Deep, Fuck The Population, and Stüssy.
I'm looking for some new trunks for the summer, but I haven't bought any in a long time. I'm terrible at dressing myself, and I need help /fa/.
Keep it simple, no 8th grade tier decals. These are from neiman marcus and are nice
>>10893401
it really depends on where you're from and how in shape you are
>>10893543
Thin swim fag here what should I get?

>>10892076
No its just the light.
Both sides are blade 0
So I was one of those retards that bought into the #menswear meme and totally regret it. Who the fuck needs to really wear $400 Allen Edmonds anyway? Those leather soles and cork base are absolute misery. Anyway, I'm sick of the whole thing and hell even the supposed "tailored" fits make me feel stuffy now so I threw out most of my styleforum autism uniforms.
Now I just want a simple, casual, minimalist look without being a slob. Essentially a respectable low-maintenance wardrobe without too much pretentiousness. Do you have infographics or inspo for what I'm talking about?
pic of a poor uncomfortable tryhard for your troubles
>>10891113
Not pics, but I usually wear some kind of boot, slacks that taper a little but offer a lot of freedom of movement, plain T shirts and light sweaters as my first layer. Especially if you're yoked, this can look good with a little thought put into shoes, fit and colors, maybe even neat socks.
An example could be
Brother Vellies
George W. Bush signature socks (not kidding)
Mountain Khaki pants
Smathers and Branson or Murray Leather belt.
Dark Grey Patagonia merino sweater.
>>10891113
good luck unlearning the menswear meme it really sticks to you
>>10891113
After 7+ years on this board I still do not understand why people on /fa/ feel the need to "buy in" to a style....
The whole menswear thing has a time and place, it doesn't mean once you have a few nice pieces you need to dress that way ALL the time.
Nothing is stopping you from wearing comfycore pieces one day, and menswear the next. Stop trying to think of fashion as defined categories, it's depressing.
Maybe you should slowly build your own idea of style, instead of relying on other people's infographics to tell you how to dress.
Otherwise you'll just end up another "dressed by the internet" dweeb.
