What's /fa/'s opinion on bleached jeans?
I know that most people will say "m-muh dark denim" but bleached jeans genuinely look kickass combined with white shoes and a generally casual look.
>>10902754
I like them, but imo they only go with white sneakers.
>>10902754
I fell for the raw denim meme and I really hate myself for it senpai...really hard to sell that whack shit
I have a feeling bleached and distressed jeans are gonna be a thing.
I like that shit.

Hey guys. I'm looking for some advice.
I'm looking for hairstyle suggestions. How can I cut/style this mane to look a little less autistic? I've got thick, straight, stubborn hair. I like undercuts but I haven't been able to find a way to style them without looking totally fucking retarded.
Picture references preferred. Let me know if you need more info.

Fuck off you ugly retard

IN THE CAR I JUST CANT WAIT
anyone have some NEET/min-wagecore?
you know shit that still looks good and suits you if you are NEET or work a min wage job.
So no bs like looking like a tool wearing overly expensive shit like common projects or designer shit while being a poorfag
>>10902505
The thing about being NEET is that it implies the you live with your parents or someone that can give you housing and food, right? because I don't know how else you would sustain yourself.
>>10902516
what is welfare/disability?
>>10902516
In Aus we get welfare, and depending on where you live it's totally possible to buy at least mid tier on the semi regular.
>discover new piece of clothing that can be decently used in many fits
>people start to like it
>more fits arise
>majority of users agree it looks kinda cool
>inevitably some shitty fits containing that element appear
>at some point the piece of clothing gets called a meme
>nobody wants to wear a meme
>it gets ridiculed and called pleb tier
is this how /fa/ works?
thats how trends in general work familia, minus the meme part
>>10902511
Trends are the memes of fashion.
>>10902487
Just dont be a streetwear faggot who relies on "sick pieces"

Guys I know this seems ridiculous because I'm on the internet, but I really could use some help.
I just got informed that I'm going to be filming for TV tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear.
For starters, I'm dead broke with a wardrobe about as big as my cock. Tiny. Tiny as fuck. I have 3 dress shirts (1 black vertical stripes, 1 blue with tiny white dots, and the last is black plaid) and 2 ties (1 blue/grey stripes, the other black/grey stripes), 1 pair of black slacks. That's it in the line of professional attire. My nicest shoes? Some black Jordans. No dress socks though I do have some black socks. What the fuck can I do to look semi-professional? Please help me guys filming starts in 10 hours. It's 11:40PM so no shopping available atm.
>pic semi-related
Some Targets stay open late. Try that.
What's the context? Are you totally sure you couldn't dress like you usually do casually?
Also you worded it like you're the one who's going to be filming, but I'm assuming you're gonna be on camera.
>>10901871
Okay assuming I can find somewhere open, I need some fucking good advice and quick. I am a full fashion retard.
>>10901872
The context is shooting a sales commercial. I work for a Vietnamese guy who basically pulls me in for odd-jobs at his leisure, and his English isn't the best so I don't always know what's going on exactly, but he made it pretty clear that I am to "dress professionally", recommended a suit & tie, and I am sorry for my ambiguity, yes I am meant to be on camera.
recommend a down jacket for the cold Canadian winter
requirements: not huge and puffy like that overplayed Canada Goose bomber bullshit (pic related)
budget: 350-400
Fjallraven
>>10901780
they look a little too "urban woodsman" to me, I prefer stuff that's black/dark navy and made of plastic not green with copper buttons and sheep lining
anybody know any good models from Patagonia or Arcteryx or North Face
>>10901771

been there, done that...
Only one answer for that bullshit

What's up fa. Fit bro here. I'm looking for some jeans that'll fit over a 24in quad but I want taper from knee down. I don't want some fucking boot cut bullshit. Looking for s 7.5 ish leg opening or less. Used to wear APC PNS but I can't fit those any more
>>10901741
Tried Levis 514s/STFs? Those are almost always the more affordable answer. Quality is mediocre on both, but still.
>>10901747
I cat fit the 514s if I size up one, the leg opening is big on them. Haven't tried the shrink to fits but I've heard they're okay
Can you not have them tailored?
I know Mr. Labouf is a bit of a meme on this site, and practically everywhere else, but I can't help but notice he looks much, much better with a beard than without one. I'm not saying he looks incredibly and astonishingly good, but it's definitely an improvement from his beardless look.
And to add to that, his beard isn't even that great or that well kept.
So, basically, any advice on how to work with bad beard genes?
My beard is thickest under my chin and cheeks. It's good enough at my chin and close to my ears if that makes sense, but my cheeks are poor in hair.
>>10901704
More importantly: How is your mustache?
>>10901704
You aren't Shia Labeouf, why do you need to look like him?
>>10901823
It's like one of those stereotypical French mustaches. It's thick density wise, but covers a thin line that extends horizontally.
My friend just killed himself. What should I wear to his funeral to look effay?
>>10901689
dress in his clothes
>>10901707
I think that would disturb his parents. Also, he wasn't very effay.
>>10901689
>going to his friend's funeral
>worried about looking effay
This mans got his priorities straight
Dear /fa/,
I avoided purchasing a suit for 26 years because suits are expensive and high quality suits are outrageously expensive. I live by the saying, a poor man pays twice so I waited until my finances would allow for outrageously expensive. But time has run out, I must attend a wedding in 20 days. That's not much time, so I turn to you.
I can afford 500$ without going hungry, but for a piece of shit I refuse to spend more than 200. At most, I can move some funds around to come up with 1,500$ if for this price I can satisfy the poor man pays twice law. And I doubt any bespoke in NYC can be had for that much.
Save me /fa/,

Cheapest tolerable-quality suits that are M2M right now are Modern Tailor. I fucking hate the company's shirts, but their suits are decent for whatever reason:
http://www.moderntailor.com/customsuits
$300 + shipping.
Get gray (VX42b) or navy (5058C), not their other ugly shit. Two-button, single-breasted, double-vented, no pleats, no pants cuffs, no fancy shit. GET A TAILOR TO MEASURE YOU - do not do it yourself, and emphasize the importance of accurate measurements. Hell, get them taken twice. Once you get the suit, get the tailor to look at it again and make small edits.
Get at least three dress shirts, but - I emphasize as much as I can - NOT FROM THERE. Cheap bullshit. If you can swing it, use the cash you saved to get good shit from Brooks Brothers and get it tailored.
Get ties from The Tie Bar. Cheap, decent, lots of variety.
>>10901692
I'm more interested if anyone knows if I can get a bespoke suit in NYC for 1.5k. Otherwise, I'd purchase something off amazon prime and get it tailored for 15$ at a chinese dry cleaners -fair enough?
Can we have a glasses thread?
dont know where to start, only know about warbyparker.com
any designer frames or good sites to buy from?
inspo would be great too, thanks
japanese frames are the best, if you can acquire them, matsuda or masunaga to be specific.
>>10901660
Be EXTREMELY careful with where you buy glasses. Warby Parker has a good rep, as do other places, but fly-by-night Chinese places have a rep for being kinda imprecise with their lenses. That's obviously something of an issue.
Believe it or not, Costco has phenomenal reviews and variety according to Consumer Reports. I know a lot of people who have bought there - or through them - and gotten specific things they wanted fairly cheaply.
I don't wear glasses, though, so I can't provide help beyond that.
>>10901666
>>10901681
trying to buy online, any suggestions?
also what do you mean by fly-by-night chinese places?
