A girl asked me if I want to watch a movie with her, I agreed as I also wanna watch that movie. Not really interested in her but I just wanna know, is this considered as a date already? We'll eat dinner together and probably shop for some stuff as well cause she wanted me to accompany her.

A complete high quality wardrobe is important. Subtle errors such as ready-to-wear tailoring, synthetic fabrics, and poor dyes can make the difference between a presentable appearance and looking like a zombie extra on The Walking Dead. Hence why I have created this guide for people who wish to ensure they are wearing legitimate clothing and not garbage fit only for use as rags in an auto mechanic's shop.
If you make:
>Less than $50k/year
You have no business attempting to look good, and should seriously consider suicide.
>$50k/year
Your whole wardrobe should cost about $10750. On this limited budget you will be hard-pressed to assemble anything remotely decent. Stick to ready-to-wear clothing and artificial fabrics to manage costs. Try not to let anyone catch more than a passing glimpse at your clothing, as closer inspection will reveal your poverty.
>$75k/year
Everything in your wardrobe should cost about $15300. One or two pieces in your collection may be made-to-measure. Consider natural fabrics such as cotton jersey and possibly even wool. Outfits that don't necessitate a great deal of creative coordination, such as business casual, may be permissible.
>$100k/year
Your budget should be around $22550. Consider eliminating all artificial fabrics from your collection so that your skin isn't irritated by its abrasive texture. Until then, continue to avoid extended periods of contact with human beings. You may interact at length with animals with lower levels of awareness and sophistication, such as dogs or raccoons. No primates of any kind however, nor dolphins.
>$150k/year
Your budget is now $30800. At this point you may consider lingering in the presence of other people.
>Above $150k/year
You are spending over $50275 on your setup. Diminishing returns may begin to set in. Consider reallocating your spending on other things such as a tailor to adjust your bespoke clothes two to four times a year to accomodate subtle changes in the shape and size of your body.

>$50k wardrobe
>this is what poorfags actually believe
I know a guy who used to be a C-title at a very recognizable New York investment bank. Dude wore mid-range Brooks Brothers suits to work and tracksuits when he was off the clock. Doesn't seem to have held him back.

Then I'll be honest with you, and I won't be an asshole for once,
go to /biz/
Better to ask a board dedicated to business practices. /fa/ is more suited for 20 something fashion, not cubicle jockey/Gen X uniforms.
Just got this in the mail. Up close it kinda smells like a dog. I'm guessing it's the wool. Is there anything I can do about the smell? Will it eventually go away on its own?
Also, backpack general I guess.

Thank you, friend! (^:
ITT: articles of clothing that have been irrevocably ruined
how about next time you start a good thread
I tried on a friend's glasses the other day and found out that glasses really suit me.
Unfortunately, I don't have a vision impairment that I know of, and wearing faux glasses is decidedly un-effay. All the same, I would really like a justification for wearing glasses.
So I'm wondering, are there any vision impairments that pretty much everyone has, or can claim to have? Alternatively does anyone know the most mild impairment that requires glasses? I'd be fine with getting used to wearing ever-so-slightly-corrective glasses. Just as long as I can "prove" to people that I actually "need" them.
Any advice is appreciated!
Just tell people you're myopic.
Most people don't know what that means and will just go, "ohhh," and feel bad for you. Mega /fa/

>I don't have a vision impairment that I know of
do u not go to the optometrist???
This will never go out of style for the rest of humanity. It could be the year 3000 and this will still be worn.
But anon, it hasn't even been in style for the past 3000 years.
>>10971211
I agree but fuck that suit does not fit him at all.
Nothing looks more clownish than an unfitted suit.
>>10971211
They're already being phased out, you have "business plebs"
who fall for anything marketed as business (blackberry, shuttle computers etc) trying to dress like zuckerberg
the few industries who still require suiting during the work week are those who rely on tradition
Tomorrow is my first date ever, I guess the beard myth was true after all.
I want to be dressed by the internet because otherwise I'll end up late.
Please tell me which shoes :
1 : fake yeezys
2 : worn out 1461 black monos
3 : brand new 1461 white monos
3 : worn out Gats
Fucking what? You decide to ask what to wear and only post your shoes?

Can you guys suggest something that is both durable and practical but still /fa/? I thought cargo trousers are comfy, but apparently they're no longer acceptable. Preferably I want to find something khaki, that I can match in a hoodie or t-shirt.
>inb4 5.11
I'm also looking for recommendations for shoes. Currently I'm either wearing runners, or a boot. Is there something in between that's more utilitarian?
>>10962958
Get quality gear. It's not /fa/ but it has style to it.

What are some non-faggot glasses?
No ray-bans pls.
>>10973735
Rimless glasses but it's more suited to older conservatives.
Thin metal frames that aren't perfectly round or ridiculously large are your best choice.
Oliver Peoples. I wish I needed glasses just so I could get some of theirs.
