Hi /fa/, don't usually post here so please no bully.
I'm looking for a list of clothing brands that don't use exploitative human labor (ie, child labor, sweatshops, hazardous work conditions, etc). Bonus points if the raw materials used also don't come from exploitative labor.
The list would be short.
If the raw materials have to be free from exploitative labour then it would be extremely short. Especially so, in fact.
I can only think of one "brand" that sources all of its materials in the british isles and manufactures them there, too. They only produce 3 or so of each size of each respective item of clothing.
Look for any brand that's not made in the far east.
Basically anything truly made in a western nation, or japan (but even then, loose labeling laws allow for a lot of bullshit - something doesn't necessarily have to be made in england, japan or switzerland to be allowed to have "made in ____" stamped on it).
So, basically nothing.
Why do you want such a list?
>>11237252
Basically this. There are no "brands" that don't use sweatshops. That'd be way less profitable. The only place where you might be able to buy homemade clothes would be in some local market, but it's probably going to be shit.
Sweatshops aren't exploitation. The workers choose to work there because the wage is better than other available options.
It would be exploitative if those factories entering the market forced out other businesses that would've made preferable alternatives, presumably local with better work conditions and similar wage. This is usually more often the case in the first world.
Vietnamese, etc. workers welcome factories because it pays far better than they could get locally. You can blame this on their inefficient, corrupted government due to the foreign interventions made by the same feel-good liberal humanism colonialist contingent you're implicit in.

>>11235840
Wait, are you saying you've forgotten how to have a sense of humor since coming on /fa/ and bitching about clothes so much?
Sense of humor comes with IQ. If you think your sense of humor is "dying," you're probably just an imbecile.
So I will be starting my robotics major in semptember.
Since I have been dressing like an idiot for my whole life, I want a fresh start and with that a new wardrobe. Any tips? I want to fit in while still being fa.
Thank you. Pic not really related

Lurk on this board and other fashion boards (/r/streetwear isn't terrible), walk around city centres and from that work out what you like to wear, how you want to be seen and then how much you're willing to spend.
Then find amalgamate your findings over a period of a week or so and try to put together some outfits.
Tips are
1. Don't try too hard to begin with. I.e don't roll your sleeves up to your elbows, don't pinroll your pants to your ballsack, don't accessorise too heavily
2. Dress basic to begin with, because unless you're very attractive with a fantastic thinspo bod, you're going to look like a spaz
3. Don't spend too much money, because frankly it's not worth spending $1000 to look like a angst-pirate ninja.
4. realise that designer brands don't make good fits, sure, but a supreme hoodie if you want, but throwing together 'grails' will only make people shit themselves with laughter at you
5. Only have one loud item per fit I.e. If you want to wear rafidas, don't wear it with another item that would draw immediate attention when someone looks at you.
6. Lose weight if you're chubby, wash you face if you have acne, get a decent hair cut. Also by decent haircut, I mean something that suits you, again you'll have to lurk and research but also have a chat with the barber. Furthermore, go to a decent hairdressers, hair doesn't necessarily make a good fit, but in terms of general attractiveness, it is paramount.
6. All of this means jack shit if you don't tailor your style to your personality. If you're quiet but kind, dress conservative with plain unbranded clothes etc. at university you have a chance to reinvent yourself somewhat, but don't stray too far from who you really are or you'll lose yourself and an hero in a few years. Also, draw inspiration from things you like and people you look up to, especially in music.
7. Again, don't try too hard, I swear half the people on this board look ridiculous because they try far too hard
Hi /fa/
I'm a fat fuck
How should I dress (and cut my hair maybe) if I still want to look /fa/?
Shut the fuck up.
Get /fit/ first
Honestly
It's easy to be /fa/ if you're skinny, it's not very hard at all if you're in good shape
But if you're fat...idk man
First rule is /fa/ and fat doesn't mix
