Thunder Bay here, so I probably know shit-all.
Pros:
>downtown is shaping up and looking pretty
>music scene is pretty cool (mostly since I have good friends in bands)
>biking is okay if you're not going too far
>scenery is great nature-wise
Cons:

I'm probably forgetting a ton, but I've found myself enjoying the city a bit more this summer. I'm attending Lakehead in September, so I'll see how that is.
