How do you pick cloths that fit?
I've recently lost a bunch of weight and am looking pretty handsome. I want to add to it with solid fashion, but I can't figure out how to choose the right size.
I was recently looking at pics of myself and it was obvious they were baggy. But when I went out and bought tighter ones, while they did look better, they squeezed my body so much that I'd just feel self conscious wearing them in public.
It's even worse with jeans. I was once out with my GF trying on clothes, and we tried on this pair of jeans that she said made my butt look great. I bought them basically because she insisted, buttering me up with flattery, but after we broke up I never had the balls to wear them again.
I've also found that wearing tight clothes can get ramdom women hitting on you, which I've always found very uncomfortable especially if there's a big group of them.
What do, /fa/?
I want to dress sexy but I'm too shy to do it publicly.
Is there a middle ground?

just get someone to help you take some body measurements. Or do it yourself. Then use those numbers to help you figure out what sizes work best for you

they have a couple of unique fits. i dont have exact measurements or anything,but i buy their shirts a lot and some of the tags say custom fit and i also find that sometimes their fits can vary from shirt to shirt. like not all s, m & l sizes are the same. its actually confusing as fuck and its better to try the shirt on at a store first really. which can suck if you want something thats only online.
i generally wear a large, but sometimes thats too big and i go with a medium. not only do i see this with polo but just about any shirt. unless of course you know the make of the shirt very well.
and btw dont get the ones that are plain like that with the extra big ponyboy.. its corny imo. the only time thats acceptable is if its a real nice polo rugby.

That shirt is pretty decent, imo. My problem is that every polo shirt I have hug around my arms, (maybe I'm a fatass, idk), and it just throws my whole fit off. But, like you said, trying on a shirt before purchasing would be a bright idea since I order some of mine.

Thoughts on reflective items?

Hey /fa/, i'm a mongoloid who knows nothing about fashion. I'm not exaggerating, ive literally only worn fancy clothes for weddings/formal events and such before.
I have a job interview next week and need to dress not like a monkey. I read the sticky but it doesn't say much about brands. I want to get a collared shirt, some nice pants and probably some shoes as well. I'm going to the mall today, there's a J Crew, Uniqlo, Clarks, and a bunch of other fashion stores there. Where would be the best place to get nice clothes? Thank you in advance, friends.

If you arent into fashion but wanna stop dressing like a loser your best bet is to go to r/malefashionadvice
I would check out J Crew and Uniqlo. Get some comfy casual stuff from Uniqlo and everything else from J Crew.
Also learn about color blocking. Probably the most useful thing to know when it comes to dressing yourself. Pick colors that work together

since you have an interview just keep it simple, conservative, and clean lines. Get slacks in navy or black from Uniqlo. Buy a new pair of basic black business socks and your collared shirt there too - it should be all over white -- you can get stripes and checkers later but this is your basic interview outfit. You can get all the same stuff from Jcrew or Banana Republic but they will be a little more expensive there - but you should still check those stores out to get an idea of more american classic business attire. Get your shoes from Banana republic I think - they are not great quality so dont walk in them much, but they will be the right style - get plain round toe black or brown leather, and get a belt in a matching color (brown or black).
Also, if you're feeling like a big spender, get blazer from Uniqlo to match your slacks, in the exact same fabric (not just same color) to make a suit - never hurts to have one.
