Going outside I just use Apple earbuds. They are sufficient.

Not effay, but you can have your own style that defines you.
Take Mac DeMarco for example; he probably gets all his stuff from the thrift but his personality and music style suits it. On the other hand you have people trying to look like him because "cheap cigarettes and vintage Patagonia interest me" and they look out of place in it.

Define "Poor"

Levis Pants, Cheap Vans and Uniqlo Shirts can keep you looking pretty stylish for under 150$ or so.

Thought about it, but two problems:
1. My hairline is receding slightly. Might look strange.
2. My hair is naturally very coarse and thick. Just typical "afro" hair. No clue how to get curls like the pic. Curl activator is too strong, his is something in the middle of that.
