>he doesnt just buy the dollar store version of Old Spice

It smells like the original Old Spice more than current "Old Spice Classic" does.
There is a big reason for this, its because the cheap stuff is the old formula thats still made in India. The real branded "Old Spic Classic" smells like shit after they changed the formula in like 2007

You can even import it in the original glass bottles on Ebay from India.
Its just amazing how cheap it is, and how great it is.

Like it would care. It doesn't trust the supply anyway, and the way it finds out how much power it can draw is by dropping its own input impedance until the supply voltage drops too low.
>>
>>902126
if the device you're charging is only chargeable though a usb port, then the device expects and is designed for 5V with a min of 500mA because that is the usb standard. of course there are +- tolerances, but internal regulation inside a phone takes up valuable space, so you cant be too far off. the battery itself has its own overcharge and overdischarge protection which protects the chemistry, which in a cell phone application expects 5V.

Confirmed BS. I know from personal experience that a .22 LR will shoot clean through both sides of a 2x4, multiple coffee cans, car door panels, polycarbonate bottles (nalgene), and other assorted junk, lots of which people say will stop a bullet.

A few panels of low-carbon sheet metal and aluminum tape are going to do jack all.

Something similar, except you can just use a rock, don't need to sharpen the ends, and they should form a circle, not a flat surface, can be used to pick up fruit which is too high to reach by hand: You surround the fruit with it, making sure to catch the stem of the plant between the "blades", then swirl it around until the sterm breaks of.
Good for chumbos (prickly pear) and other spiky fruit.

The most efficient heaters completely distribute heat before the cycle ends...

You could possibly increase the effect of the candle this way, the radiating heat would help keep the wax warm increasing combustion speed (compare to how they won't melt all the wax if in a cold surrounding). This however means that you'd have to change candles at shorter intervals, no free energy to be found here.

I think this basically boils down to people underestimating the effect even a small source of heat will have.
>>
>>903526
It doesnt increase shit.

But it still works, kinda.

It works as a small, personal radiator. It will warm up your room just as much as a regular candle would BUT you have a giant thermal mass that will be comfortably warm for a long time, not flamingly hot for short time.

Now, do you want a real cheap heater? Take a pot in a pot in a pot in a pot, put it on your oven and heat it up. It's gonna keep warmth for a while.
Even better, just take a brick and put it on your oven.
Even better take a fireproof brick, make a hole in it, put inside some silicon carbide and microwave for a while.

>Knife is only tool
>use only knife!
>not using a jig

Sorry that post triggered me. But in all seriousness, a knife is a tool, use it to make more specific tools, a jig for fishing and hunting is best, good luck catching fish/frogs by jumping on them with your knife, plus the jig doesn't need perfect aim to hit the fish, and usually it will work to keep the fish on your stick where a knife won't hold a fish well.

Happy camping friendo!

Nothing, literally nothing..
An occasional wasp or bee maybe but that really is al we have.

But if you actually go in the woods(which is forbidden here) you will run in to boars, deers and pic related
Boars are the most dangerous we have i guess, cant think of anything more dangerous than boars

You can go in to the woods ofcourse, but we are not allowed to be in the woods after sunset.

No weapons.
Knives are a weapon, we have knife making threads
A while back a guy posted pics and videos of him electrolytic rust removal on an old rusty gun.
A gunsmithing thread would be tolerated

Doesnt mean you can post threads or a how to on making illicit improvised weapons or explosives. Thats why the rule is in place.

Likewise with drugs.
Nobody is going to give a shit if you post home remedies for a headache or how to make penicillin out of a loaf of bread.
We all know that the infographs are actually going to be making and growing illegal shit.

>protect against knife
Doesn't look like it. The way they want you to sew the plates together, a knife could slip behind one of the plates if the stab or slash was made in the right direction with enough force.

If you want knife protection I'd stick with chainmail armor. ABS plastic is great but if you make plates out of them a knife will find it's way between them.

That said, you're going to want chainmail made from small rings to minimize your chances of being stabbed. Chainmail is great against cuts and slashes but you'll need really small rings to defeat stabs, and even the smallest rings can be defeated by thin stabbers such as nails or ice picks.

kek, our physics/electronics teacher taught it as "Black boy raped our young girl, bam, virginity gone west". Granted he only said it under his breath to me and a mate and when we both said "lol wtf did you just say sir?" he said "nothing" and walked off. We were the only two in the class who were actually into electronics, he was an old EE happy to have a few kids who were legitimately interested. We got away with all sorts of shit, including tricking his TA into believing we had somehow turned a crookes tube into a high dose x-ray generator by wrapping a bunch of wire around the back of it. The rest of the class, used to our shenanigans, all dropped to the floor right on queue when we screamed "oh shit, too much radiation, get down!" , TA literally left screaming, teacher had to leave the room to laugh it out before he went and scraped the TA off the roof of the staff room.

Needless to say, neither of us ever forgot our colour codes from that day on.

Godspeed you Rolf Jacobson, you glorious bastard.

/k/ regular here, steel core ammo is in fact NOT illegal if it's below a certain hardness/core weight to jacket wight ratio (jacket is the copper layer around the lead outer core and steel inner core); also, proper AP ammo is legal to own and shoot as long it's not a pistol caliber, and can not be newly produced or imported, leaving most ap to be old WWII/Korea 30-06 or old stock .50 bmg projectiles that were pulled from the old cases and loaded into new ones (9mm and even .223 (ar-15), 7.62x39 (ak-47), and .308 (m14) are technically "handgun calibers" as pistols have been made and sold chambered in the aforementioned calibers) And no, channels with 7.62x39 AP ballistic tests aren't illegal, as everything they're using was imported before the ban.
>and most importantly, this is 100% bullshit, as the maximum this could most likely stop, if even, is a .380 acp, a wimpy little round. If you want protection, it's 1000% better to shell out the money for a proper level III or IIIA for their respective rifle and pistol caliber protection
DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE OR THE LIFE OF OTHERS WITH HOMEMADE BALLISTIC VESTS
>>
>>911567

If you want to build a vest, the first thing you need is a material that will actually protect.

The three that are reliable are kevlar, steel plating and ceramic plating.

At this point, you're buying a kevlar or nylon plate carrier (Because sewing a vest carrying 40 lbs of plate during physical exertion is a bit outside typical /diy/ skill), then buying the plates to fill it.

The only /diy/ you can do is to coat steel plates for reduces spalling (truck liner, dubious effectiveness) and to add MOLLE or velcro to help carry gear.

Don't DIY "real" armor; if you trust your life to it, it will let you down.

Since a candle will burn faster in a warm environment the heat radiated by the pot should result in higher power (W) but not of course more energy (J).

>>903711
These are not really meant for emergency use although you could easily make a couple of them and have them ready for power outages and the like. They are more for the kinda trip where you'd go with a vehicle of choice for a one or two day outing, possibly a fishing trip or something like that.
>>
>>911678
Bullshit. It seems mine produced most if the heat at the bottom so one side ended up burnt and the other cold
>>
>>911846
So why didn't you then turn it the other way up?
>>
>>902285
That's stoopid.

If you make the belly cut first, then cut around the throat and then down through the backbone, you can pull the head and all the organs out in one single clean unit.

With physoclistous fish, you're done; with physostomous fish like trout, you need to then scrape the gas bladder out from under the spine.

In either case, there's less risk of spilling the fish's digestive system, so less risk of food poisoning.

It's for A.) apartment building or skyscraper fires, where you may be trapped for 30 minutes before rescue can put out the fire/get to you. Most fire deaths are smoke inhalation, not fire. If you're in a closed room, fire takes time to get through the drywall.

B.) the real reason it exists is for chemical gas attacks. it's a reservoir of (relatively) uncontaminated air. So for a chlorine gas or mustard gas bomb, it's a way to keep from being exposed that is more effective than the other option of standing in the shower with the water on and hoping the humidity captures the dangerous particulates.

You know why there are so many civilian casualties right? It's because all of these terrorist groups intentionally hold up in civilian areas wearing civilian clothing with the idea that they will blend in and if the Americans attack, they will be martyrs. If any of those groups have a problem with France or America or any other country they can take that beef straight to a base and try their luck with a head on fight. But they don't want that. They want the unarmed child to be blown up because it's good radicalizing PR.
Basically fuck them.
