I want to build something that beeps loudly when there is a powercut. The simplest design possible. I'm thinking some kind of capacitor connected to a siren that activates when the power drops. How would I go about making it?

i drew this for a guy that wanted battery backup for his aquarium pump. you can use the same principle. replace pump with buzzer. if you want just a quick scream instead of a continuous scream, put a big cap in series with the buzzer, like 5000uF.
