I put one in the freezer and it was almost normal again, but it gradually regained its size over the next couple days

good experiment, too bad it doesn't work permanently...

shit, so it can't be fixed.

Problem is this battery is 85mm by 65mm and can't find a replacement online...

Have you tried R/C places like Hobbyking? From what my R/C friends tell me, you can find lipo in any config you could want.

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/lipo.html

as an example.

Might be a custom cell.
If you know the capacity, that's really the critical part. Get something just a touch smaller physically with the same voltage and same or more mAh rating, it'll be fine.

No, you cannot recover a swollen cell. Don't charge it, don't poke it... unless you're okay with "may vent with flame".

Charge it then shoot it with a BB gun. Better to enjoy show then light the trash truck on fire.

Honestly you'd probably have better luck building your own battery from scratch than fixing that one.

Easiest solution (if you can't find a replacement) is probably to figure out what configuration of smaller cells will fit in the cavity and then configure them to output the same voltage.

hobbyking, gearbest, amazon, ebay should all have them, check by weight and type you need, you will be able to find one that fits
