I'm building this large garage, the interior is 20' ribbed steel panels. The interior partitions look like pic related. I can't think of an elegant way to completely block the gaps, or light coming through. I have aluminium trim coil and am marginally proficient with a brake, but I could really only get an L shape, which would help but not cure it. I could stuff it with white foam board, but it wouldn't be very helpful or durable.

To get above his level, you don't hang your snowshoes over the fire place, use stainless steel to cook with not aluminum, put your cheap junkie rubber boots away from your bed. Then get a chubby native woman to cook and keep the cabin in shape.

What are you growing?

You can grow plenty of indoor plants without any supplemental lighting.

Spider plants
Philodendron
Palms
Ferns
Ivy
Snake plants
Dracaenas
ZZ Plant

All of these plants are happy to live their life inside with whatever light they're given.

Dracaenas like the Cast Iron plant and Corn plant can only be hurt by overwatering. The ZZ plant is also very indestructable.

Vining philodendrons do just fine in poor soils and need only water and a light feeding once or twice a year.

to start with, get either a flea collar or other flea treatment for your dog.

then, treat anywhere the fleas could be with borax, then vacuum.
Vacuum really well, and tie off in a bag so that any eggs don't hatch. keep vacuuming daily for the next week, and possibly reapply borax, and you should eventually kill them all. Obviously, you'll need to wash the bedsheets etc. if they're in there too.

Option two, is wait for winter cold, drain the water in the house pipes and flush toilets empty, then shut off the heat, 10 days at 35 degrees or below and fleas die. make sure you kill all the ones on you/your dog or they'll stay warm.

The steel frame will be much more complicated then the simple wooden top. You need around $1000 worth of tools to build this.

that said, many effect pedals are stupid simple, many of the "classics" have less then 20 components.

I've built many pedals both on pcbs and protoboards.
many guitarheads learn as they go, but i have an electronics background.

I bought a Matrix corded drill when it was on clearance for 15$, just to have around as a beater drill or to drive light screws.

I test drove some 1 1-2 inch wood screws through cheap plywood into a 2x4. Clutch seemed to work alright.

I will probably never buy any more attachments though.

FWIW the Lithium one is identical to the rebaged Craftsman Bolt On which has been clearanced out. You may be able to find them cheap somewhere.


If you want to use the stupid multi tool thing, youd be in much better shape buying into the Milwaukee M12 line. Their older brushed tools are cheaper than the brushless, but are still gonna be better than the BD stuff

Have some PPE gear. Safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, ear pro, and a safety vest. May be overkill, but you'll be about as prepared as you need to be minus the tools. Tools being hammer, cats paw, measuring tape, carpenter pencils, speed square, and torpedo level. Basics of the top of my head. Next level is a worm drive skill saw and a nail gun. Then your own compressor. Really you just need safety stuff and basic tools for now.

Does not take a whole lot to get started, and you can make art prints, stickers, t-shirts, and practically anything else flat, hundreds of copies in the course of an honest day's work.

you could go onto maple/ash but that is probably a little overkill and doesnt carve or shape so easy.

Weller irons are already less than $20, how cheap are you looking to go?

My understanding is that cheaper soldering irons sacrifice temperature accuracy. If you're not working on anything too delicate (thin PCBs or tightly packed sensitive components) then any old soldering iron should do the job.

But I don't solder much. Take that with a grain of salt.

got a bargain on a wsp81 on ebay. i think the model is discontinued but tips are plentiful and the unit is real sexy.

weller is pretty much universal
other brands definetly depends where you live.
e.g. i never heard of hakko before /diy/
